Sometimes taking the risk gives your kids more than just memories. ❤️

This summer I chased something that mattered to me. It wasn’t necessarily the easiest or most practical choice. There were sacrifices, uncertainty, and plenty of reasons I could have talked myself out of it.

But I went anyway.

And hearing my son tell his teacher that his favorite part of summer was going to Kansas City — and proudly writing that his mom played professional softball — put everything into perspective. 🥹🥎

My kids may not remember every game, every score or everything it took to make this summer happen.

But they’ll remember that Mom went for it.

They got to watch me chase a dream, take a chance on myself, and make memories with them along the way.

And maybe one day when they’re faced with their own big, scary dream, they’ll remember that.

Let your kids see you go for it. ❤️

Friendly reminder:

CHASE YOUR DREAMS ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

No matter how “unrealistic” they are.

I just began my journey teaching and coaching during the off-season while I’m training for next summer, and the biggest thing I’m aiming to teach my kids in the classroom and on the field is that they are more than capable of reaching their goals. The first assignment my kids had was to write a paper about what their dreams and goals were. Reading their answers was one of the most touching experiences I’ve ever had. From being song artists, to professional athletes, to being the valedictorian of their graduating class, even to simply having a big family and kids, they all have such beautiful ideas of what they want their futures to look like.

I‘ve come across so many people in my life who told me I was being “too ambitious,” and my goal is to make sure kids know from a young age that they can do anything they put their minds to, inside and outside of the classroom. I’m so grateful God’s given me this opportunity and placed me here to impact kids in a positive way. And I’m so grateful He used this summer to instill in me how important it is to follow His calling for my life. TYJ! 💖

Want something? Go after it. 🔥

Work hard. Take the chance. Create the opportunity.

Don’t wait for life to happen to you — be proactive, not reactive.

You never know what can happen when you decide to just GO FOR IT. 💪

💎 NOT DONE YET.

A little glimpse into a moment I’ll never forget — making my professional softball debut with the Kansas City Diamonds. 🥎

There’s a lot more behind this moment than what you see on the field, and I’m incredibly grateful to have a small part of my journey included in this documentary.

This is just a teaser… 👀

Because sometimes getting there isn’t the end of the story.

Thank you KC & STL for the most beautiful summer of my life.

It’s so special to be just a small part of something like this. My heart goes out to the PSLD for creating this opportunity for girls like us to keep pursuing our passion. @marc_asquith , @troysielaff , @dana.goss_ , thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made to make this all possible. The game of softball would look so much different without sweet souls like you guys. It means the world. The best part of it all, I found a whole bunch of new besties that God knew I needed. So thank you @psldevelopment for giving me so many people to love and so many people to love me! 💖

To the most legendary coaching staff combo out there, @kylemcclellan46 , @bigcityforreal , @julia.crenshaw , @thetrevorrosenthal , and @mattalvarado_7 , thank you guys for making the experience so fulfilling. You are all one of a kind! I’m so blessed to have been impacted by you guys!

All of the work behind the scenes doesn’t go unnoticed, and is arguably the most challenging piece of it all. So,
@brittaffolter and @jeremykcdiamonds , thank you for everything you guys have done and continue to do to make this possible.

STL, thank you for showing up and showing out for us! I had the best time representing the Lou, and I hope to be back next summer! 🥰

There’s so much still left to accomplish, but what a BLESSING to take a step like this. God never fails to amaze me with His plans for my life. It was such a joy to be apart of this. I can’t have anything but gratitude in my heart for simply getting to play the game I love again, especially to compete alongside and against the best of the best. This an experience and story I will carry with me for the rest of my life!

As a wise woman named Taylor Swift once said, everything you lose is a step you take! 💖

THANK YOU, JESUS! #gg #stl #psl #loucrew
