United East Conference SAAC Meeting 📆✅ Earlier today, our e-board attended the first United East SAAC In-Person Meeting of the 2026-27 academic year in Lancaster, PA. We were briefed on the 5 new proposals that will be presented at NCAA Convention in January, had lunch, took part in a DiSC Behavioral Assessment, and closed out with a round-table discussion. It was great to see some new faces around the United East crew, as well as reconnect with some old ones, and learn about what the other institutions are up to within their own SAACs. Exited to bring back what we learned to Berks and brief our SAAC on the new proposals! #WeAreBerks | #RisingUnited

I am extremely blessed and excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Penn State Berks!! This dream wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of my family. To all of my AAU coaches, mentors, teammates, and friends - thank you for pushing me, believing in me, and helping shape me into the player and person I am today. I couldn’t have done it without all of you. A special thank you to Coach Brandt for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to become a Nittany Lion. I cannot wait to start this next chapter! WE ARE💙🤍

Next, on the #DIIIWeek Spotlight, is Junior, Women’s Basketball Player, Kiara Altine! “I play DIII basketball because it allows me to be a college kid, having fun, get my experience of joining clubs, being an RA, having a job, and pretty much just multitasking a lot more things in general rather than just school and basketball. I get to play out of pure enjoyment of my sport, while still keeping the competitive nature that helped me fall in love with the game in the first place. I still get to put all the work, all the dedication, and keep all the love, just with a schedule on a less intense level that doesn’t only contain sport and school.” - Kiara Stay tuned for more DIII Week Student-Athlete Spotlights! #WhyDIII | #BleedBerks

Next up, on our #DIIIWeek spotlight is Senior, Women’s Basketball player, Jalyn Hann! “I love that DIII athletics allowed me to compete at a higher level without losing focus on everything else I care about. I like the balance that pushed me in my sport, but also in school and other extracurricular activities. It made it easy to put in the extra work and being part of a team that feels like family. That’s what made it worth it.” - Jay Keep your eyes out for more DIII Week Student-Athlete spotlights! #WhyDIII | #BleedBerks
