6 LEGENDS. 3 DAYS. 🏆

Day 3 begins with a coach who continued Plymouth State women’s lacrosse tradition of championship success while putting her own stamp on the program.

Sandy Bridgeman | Women’s Lacrosse 🥍

In six seasons at Plymouth State, Bridgeman guided the Panthers to a 58-27 overall record and a 29-4 mark in Little East Conference play.

Her teams made five LEC Tournament championship appearances, winning three titles, while also capturing two regular-season championships and making three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 2017-19 – a program first.

The Panthers went unbeaten in LEC play in both 2018 and 2019, while Bridgeman was named LEC Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2022.

In 2019, Bridgeman led the Panthers to their second NCAA Tournament victory, a 19-3 win over New England College. The victory set program NCAA Tournament records for goals scored and fewest goals allowed.

During her six seasons, PSU players earned 18 All-LEC First Team selections and 11 Second Team honors, along with IWLCA All-Pilgrim Region, LEC Player of the Year and LEC Senior All-Star recognition.

Bridgeman's impact extended well beyond Plymouth State. In a 25-year collegiate coaching career, she compiled a 240-148 record and made stops at Longwood, Babson and New Hampshire before arriving in Plymouth. At UNH, she led the Wildcats to two NCAA Championship appearances, six All-Americans, 12 consecutive America East Tournament appearances and three America East Coach of the Year honors, including the 2008 womenslacrosse.com Division I National Coach of the Year award.

She also served as head coach of the Dutch Women's Lacrosse National Team at the 2013 World Championships.

Six seasons. Three conference championships. Three NCAA Tournament appearances. A lasting chapter in the proud history of Panther lacrosse. 🐾
