🌲❗️presenting our next artist from the void at Dimensional Nexus ❗️🌲

@psy.nix is the psychedelic music project
of Nicola Oosthuizen, a South African
DJane and producer from Mossel Bay
in the Garden Route, proudly signed to
Mythical Experience Records. With a
lifelong connection to music and an
instinct for creative expression,
Nicola’s artistic journey began with
acoustic sounds and guitar before
evolving into a deep passion for
electronic music.
Her introduction to the psytrance
scene came in 2015 at Fairy Valentine
in the Garden Route—a
transformational experience that wouldlater become a milestone when she
returned to play her debut
performance at the same festival. In
2016 she began experimenting with
progressive and daytime trance under
the alias Psychodelica, gradually
gravitating toward the faster, more
intense realms of nighttime
psychedelic trance.
As her sound evolved, she embraced
a new identity: Psynix. The new name
matched her artistic direction and
marked the moment she found her
signature style. By late 2018 she was
fully immersed in production, crafting
her own psychedelic journeys anddeveloping a sound that reflects both
her personality and her passion for the
genre.

🌀🌲 MYTHICAL TAKEOVER🌲🌀
This year were proud to have Mythical Experience joins us for a label takeover with 4 Mythical artists bringing that dark forest vibe their known for 🙌

🔮1. Absolute Threshold
Absolute Thresholds a prominent DJ with 10 years in the underground scene. Since 2016, hes played iconic festivals, like Freaky Forest, Our Minds, SouthernTipsy, Alien Safari, Darker Dimensions, Universal Frequencies, Swamp Stomp and Modem SA, showcasing his unique blend of forest and dark psytrance.

🐒2. Forest Critters
Forest Critters is the DJ collaboration project of two life long friends, Joshua Stow and Duncan de Weerd.
We’ve developed a deep appreciation for the intricate patterns and soothing sounds found within nature. Our intention is to create a safe space for All to explore and journey through the deepest parts of themselves.
This collaboration is a celebration of the interconnectedness between music and the natural world.

🪸3. Dichotomy
A sound born in contradictory times; an exploration of psychedelic music rooted in the questions of our curious reality. His sound is a sonic paradox—a collision of dirty grooves, trippy sound design, organic found sounds, and the intriguing contrast of harmony and dissonance. Though his experiments in psychedelic production took root during the madness of 2020, his foundations run deep. For over two decades, he has been an architect of the underground as a DJ, producer, live artist, and promoter

🌀4. Psynix
Since her first official set in 2019 at Fairy Valentine (Echo Gatherings), Psynix has performed across South Africa, gaining recognition for her powerful, energetic stage presence and her distinct style rooted in Night Time Full-On, Forest Psy, Dark Psy, as well as touches of Zenon and Dark Prog
