#Tupac speaking facts. James Baldwin once said “Artists are suppose to make you see reality again.”

#artists have a #moralresponsibility to tell the #truth and the greatest ones recognize this.

My big brother @dr_dume3 has always been a major source of inspiration for me. He’s a man of character, compassion, and discipline. Seeing the joy on his face throughout the events of this past weekend as he got married (2x) to his person @thecoloredpelvis were simply unforgettable experiences. I wish you both the absolute best as you do life together. ❤️💯

Society is made up of individuals. It is our job as a society to break down every barrier that is keeping you from improving yourself. Strides have been made to make therapy more accessible, and we still have a long way to go but there are options for you. A better version of yourself is in your reach. What myths have you bought into?

I learned a new word for a familiar concept today: IKIGAI.
What is your reason for being?

Everyone breathing has a God given “ikigai.” A lot of people talk about journeys toward finding your purpose.... Finding it is one thing, but accepting it is another! It took me a lot more time to accept mine. Accepting your ikigai is not always clean. It can be messy, and really disrupt your current lifestyle, plans, and environment. It might require years upon years of training, schooling, and late nights. It might demand that you develop new skills, attend therapy, church, rehab and more to heal. It may require you to examine yourself deeper and build new relationships with others and with yourself. Daily hurdles of Fear (of both failure and of success), doubt, procrastination, and more are in your path. In spite of the difficulty, it is very possible and it is yours! Yes, it is yours! Once you accept it and begin pursuit, you become stronger and more equipped as you go. So what are you waiting for?
