Mike Ward: PsychoSongs is very happy to announce that Detroit Indi/Folk Trio Jackamo be opening at the Trinity House Theatre for the Mike Ward:PsychoSongs "Particles to Pearls" CD Release on June 11, 2022.

Alison Wiercioch & Tessa Wiercioch along with guitarist Jimmy Showers make up the trio Jackamo. Alison and Tessa (as
well as Jimmy) joined Mike on his previous album "The Darkness and The Light" and on the upcoming "Particles to Pearls".

About Jackamo:
Growing up in a household where music was constantly playing, it didn’t take long before Alison and Tessa Wiercioch began writing and performing songs of their own. What began as inviting their parents to the living room for daily musical performances, turned into a strong and driving passion.

Jackamo’s sound is a product of their diverse influences and experiences, and has affinities with bands like First Aid Kit, Lucius, and The Milk Carton Kids. They feel just as comfortable accompanied by a simple acoustic guitar as they do by a full band. No matter what the setting, the sisters’ blood harmonies and plaintive melodies create a sound that is both delicate and indelible: a quill on parchment.

Jackamo writes earnest lyrics rooted in experience. They tell their own stories and the stories of friends and family. These are songs of longing and nostalgia told with honesty and empathy. A listener hears the songs not from a distance, but as if they have been invited into a circle around a fire on a cloudless night.

Pictures here are from the January recording session with Mike at Rooftop Recording Studio where the girls also took home a plant, compliments of Kristen and David Roof.
