Feeing so incredibly grateful to all the beautiful people, love and support around me in finishing up my time at Recha and moving across to Naarm this week! I am truly the sum of everyone I adore, so thank you all so much for being who you are. I tried to keep this short, but I’m the most sentimental girlie pop ever so read on at ur own peril ig! I always said when I applied for my job at Recha that if I got it, I would stay in Perth & if I didn’t I would move to Melb. I guess 3 years was a long time for even this diva of a venue to keep me here when I felt that pull 🫶 If you haven’t worked at or spent time at Recha, she’s an indescribable beast - like we literally have carousel donkeys in our secret ceiling loft - iykyk. I have had the absolute best time as marketing lead here getting to work alongside people, acts, and in an industry I love dearly. My work has spanned everything from interviewing artists in blow up pools and doing live vfx for shows, to creating floral arrangements for a wake (?) and zip-tying various beach paraphernalia to our rooftop bar (?). Hashtag marketing? Maybe? Seeing so many incredibleeeee shows here in what feels like my living room has been an absolute dream - big ups programming baddies, I adore ya work. I feel most grateful to the very special people I’ve met through my job - here, there, and everywhere. Each and every one of you is so special and dear to me, and idk what I’d do without ya. So many of you have changed my life. Obvi big big biggggg love to my Diva Las Vegas babes holding it down in the office every day - ty for your enduring patience with me rocking up at 9:30 each morning, Masters mocha in hand, and spilling every thought my brain has had since waking up to you all ♥️ I’m excited & nervous for a big move - my life is literally in 4 suitcases. How did that happen? But what’s that quote that we might have reblogged on tumblr? Leap and the net will appear? To me at the end of the day, home is not in the things you keep, but in the people you love. And so I know no matter which city I find myself in, home will always be in my heart and for that I am endlessly grateful. Love you all, see ya real soon 🧚‍♀️🫶✨
