When we started this shop we introduced an idea of an art program that would revolve around supporting local artists and creating a community. We never imagined that after almost two years The Metropolitan Museum of Art @metmuseum would recognize this program and acknowledge our vision of being more than just a place to get a haircut. We are humbled and proud to be a part of The Met’s story and appreciate all the artists involved and future artists upcoming! New artist alert @antonioscottnichols and two new from @publicdomainnyc being craftsman, we want to surround ourselves and clients with art, everything is for sale, we do not take any of the proceeds. We are lucky to have such talented people in our community! We have beautiful work on our walls, and the artists have walls to showcase their works. #nyc #eastville

“Redacted” this is our first collaboration w @publicdomainnyc using our space for up and coming artists that want to showcase their art. Most of these pieces have sold and we are waiting to hang the new batch. We don’t charge any money to show or take any of the money of the final sale. Part of our business plan isn’t just about hair, it’s about the vibe, feel and community. Friend of a barber is about the friends! The name explains it all! #ny #nyc #eastvillage #nycbarbers #eastvillagebarbershop
