I’m so happy that the album ‘Fleetstreet’ that we did together with @lujoasiatic @koiwa____ & my alter-ego @_chasys is finally out! It’s made up from long improvisations that we recorded throughout June 2021 during the residency of @primeiro.segundo at @fleetstreet_theater_hamburg - we then selected, discarded and refined, without producing them to maintain the freshness of what we captured.
My favourite track is ‘Cris Jelinek’. It has several satisfactory textural details of an almost ASMR quality - those digital crickets/cicadas and percussive micro-samples. Because of these we ended up joking around about the similarities to our favourite Jan Jelinek album and from there we got the name of the track, since Cris was the one to bring in those sounds.
It stays on a plateau without major breaks or switching of parts but with a constant change of the roles of each element, of the densities and spaces. I feel like it’s one of the tracks where we managed to give each other the most room possible and the result is very hypnotic, living in a sort of ‘no place’.
