This is a very interesting piece that I came across and it comes with a very rich history behind it, it’s an effigy of a woman breastfeeding her child, this piece was made by none other than legendary potterer Andres Villalba. Andres Villalba was one of the most important potters of Mata Ortiz. His amazing work centered on preserving Paquimean designs an honoring in this way the ancient people. Here is the piece plus a few others some made by the late great Andres Villalba and others by various artists, enjoy my friends 🤖🚀

I bought my first Bible yesterday.
it’s not the first Bible i’ve ever owned, but it’s the first one that I’ve bought myself in my adult life.
it’s nothing special, i paid $12 for it at walmart. But it’s red and Caden helped me pick it out, and it feels so so special.

I left the church when I was about 14, after being in it every time the doors were open before then. There’s been many times that I’ve wanted to go back since then, but I could never find a church that felt like home. I maintained a very lukewarm relationship with Christ, but I knew that I needed a strong church to support me in actually pursuing Christ.

Then @jaydigriffin told me about @linglevillebaptistchurch. She didn’t get three sentences into talking about it before I was asking if I could go with her, while we were sitting on the floor of Cold Smoke eating pizzas. I went with her that Sunday, and I knew it was somewhere that I could call home, and somewhere that I could truly come as I am.

I debated on posting all of this, partly because it feels silly, it’s just a red Bible from walmart. it’s nothing crazy.
But it is crazy. It is crazy how The Lord worked on the floor of Cold Smoke, and it is crazy how The Lord works in a little building on the hill in a one stop sign town. It is crazy the amount of people, from all walks of life, in all places of life, welcomed with open arms into one room to worship in Lingleville, TX.
While I debated posting this, I heard the “this little light of mine” song in the back of my head.
this little red Bible is a little light of mine. and I’m gonna let it shine with y’all.
