Found a small cafe @the_boringcafe in Rivonia and pulled up with @puffy__buttercup She went for the passion fruit and orange, no ice, 30% sugar. I got the Taro Pudding milk tea with almond milk and honestly that drink is a 10 out of 10. Ordered stinky tofu as a starter, it stank and tasted good at the same time. It was weird. Anyway for mains we went with the beef noodles. Flat noodles, soft tender beef, great broth and well cooked veg. Solid spot. #vlog #rivonia #southafrica #cafe #beefnoodles

Uncle Waffles Live At The Brooklyn Mirage 🧇🗽💕 This past weekend saw @unclewaffles_ make history as not only the first Black Woman to headline at the The Brooklyn Mirage, she too was the first Amapiano Artist to do so! 🇸🇿🇿🇦🇺🇸🏆 The utmost love and adoration to @kai_inthekut @linda_makhoba @totallymashed_ and @bieence for pushing as they have, and for shimmering such radiance in everything they do! 🫶🏽🌟 With such an historic event still reverberating throughout the world, I felt it was time to share just a handful of what I crafted leading to the big day! Slide 1 & 2 - A New York street-culture-inspired promotional artwork and visual wherein I re-imagined Uncle Waffles as the Statue of Liberty. 🗽💕🇺🇸 Slide 3 - Handwritten typography turned digital for a promotional reel Slide 4 - Had this fun idea of re-imagining a Waffle in the shape of USA! Looks both goood and delicious lol 😂🧇🇺🇸 Slide 5 - Uncle Waffles re-imagined as Mount Rushmore for the Washington DC show during tour ⛰️ Slide 6 - Handwritten Uncle Waffles typeface for the intro of her Brooklyn Mirage performance ✍🏽 Slide 7 & 8 - A mixed media collage showcasing the journey of the tour thus far 📸 Side 9 - A video collage for the intro of her Brooklyn Mirage performance 📺 Slide 10 - 80’s Classic Looney Tunes-inspired intro video visual for a Brooklyn Mirage promotional video 📺 Slide 11 - Titles and VFX for a collaborative dance video 💃🏽🕺🏾 Slide 12 - Mixed Media panning video for the intro of her Brooklyn Mirage performance 🗽 • • • • #unclewaffles #wadibusa #amapiano #southafrica #animation #typeface #poster #posterdesign #wow #film #logo #logodesigner #logoinspiration #creative #graphicdesigner #graphicdesign #motiongraphic #video

“I want people to know that I am African, that I am South African, that I am a Xhosa man, and that I am from the Eastern Cape.” 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Issue No. 5 is all about heritage. And nobody embodies the power of heritage more than the great @dmandisi. Soak in his contagious calm and clarity, via the time he spent with our writer @slytherin_soup —and lose yourself in the jaw-dropping images shot on Africa’s stunning Eastern Cape. Special thank-you to our entire editorial team—and in particular the mastermind behind all of this magic, @asandasizani, for her brilliant creative direction on this incredibly soulful piece. #fiftyfourmag ✨ #exaltafrica #FiftyFourxMandisiDyantyis #somandla_dmandisi #cwaka #mandisidyantyis Cover Creative Director & Stylist @asandasizani Produced for @fiftyfourmag Talent: @dmandisi Editor in Chief @justmwai Cover Photographer @dancarter Assistant Photographer @loyiso_mali Project Manager @slytherin_soup DOP @geffphotography Video Edits @rageincstudios @geffphotography Hair: Jawad Maphoto Grooming @carolinegreeff Coat @francesv.h_mohair Stylist’s Assistants @thabo_kopele @sithasolwazikentane @thegoodgirlgene Location: Hole in The Wall and Bulungula Xhosa Wild Coast Lodge, Eastern Cape, South Africa
