Sorry…3 fish photos in a row but whoa, they do exist and this past week we have seen a few around on various watersheds around town.

Our own Ethan Barker aka @tetonflytying with one from down south.

Yet another reason fall is our favorite season to fish around Seattle. Swinging flies for steelhead is simply addictive so be careful.

Cutthroat are plentiful and hungry on the beaches right now, with opportunity for migratory salmon as well! Now is the time.

Last weeks EWA/ VWP @vashonwildernessprogram youth fly fishing camp was wildly successful and we are already excited for next year.

So grateful to everyone who assisted in the camps success…Kristy, Jamie, Anthony and Nadja at VWP, Joseph Marsh, Dave McCoy, Casey Poier, Mitch Randall from EWA and Jamie Glasgow from @wildfishconservancy

This camp was all about getting to know the diverse watersheds shared by our community and why each is vital to one another.

Entomology, approach, fly casting and tying, conservation, threats to each, challenges to protect and actionable items to both protect but also bring more youth to enjoy and engage with them.

If you know a child between 12 and 16 who might enjoy and benefit from this camp next year, please share and have them reach out to be on the list for notification when dates are announced for next year.

Have a great rest of summer everyone and thank you parents for the opportunity to spend this time with everyone…it was a blast!

If there’s one thing better than chasing carp on the fly, it’s doing it with a great group of people.

Schmoots Clooper is one of those weekends we look forward to every year. Catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and spending time with a community that’s just as obsessed with carp as we are never gets old.

Thanks to everyone who shared some water, a conversation, or a laugh with us. House of Fly is always proud to be part of it. Until next year. 🎣

We are “pumped” to be doing an EWA and @nrsfishing seminar to provide you an opportunity to see and touch the wide variety of watercraft available for the diverse watersheds of the PNW.

Slipstreams, inflatable kayaks, SUP’s, pack rafts, Boundary 100 and other personal watercraft options.

@davemccoyewa @anadromousmike @jrplanke will be on hand to talk through configuration, safety and other options with you.
