In 2017 this bunch rode a gruelling 9 days total in the hope of spreading awareness for this important subject. I learned that 9-10 ppl that comment S****** are men… filming this ride taught me a lot. #bike #riding #mentalhealth #motivation #

In 2017 I had the opportunity to film a documentary about men’s suicide awarness.. Before doing it I had no idea what I was about to learn, being surrounded by grown men and women of high status and corporate positions, l learned that none of that really meant anything, as they were all humans beings, with real stuff going on and it really opened my eye to the whole space! #awarness #mentalhealth #mentalk #openup #

From AFL Legend to Mental Health Trailblazer, @wayneschwass is bringing his powerful voice to the #2025WellnessInInfrastructureAwards

We are thrilled to announce Wayne Schwass the founder of @pukaup as the Master of Ceremonies for the 2025 Wellness in Infrastructure Awards, on Friday 10th October (aka: World Mental Health Day).

Wayne brings authenticity and lived experience to the wellbeing conversation. As someone who has dedicated his post @afl career to creating environments where people feel safe to talk about mental health his voice is a reminder of what courageous leadership looks like.

We’re honoured to have Wayne guide us though an evening that celebrates those driving real change across our industry.

Have you nominated your Wellness In Infrastructure Champions for an award?

There’s still limited tickets and sponsoring opportunities available

Normalising and destigmatising mental health is vital to us at Fonterra. That’s why we were delighted to bring this important message to our community in Tasmania this week.

Our Healthy Minds Community Forum featured AFL legend and founder of @pukaup Wayne Schwass, as well as Leigh Whiteley from @ruralaliveandwell with the aim to open a conversation and help reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.

It was a full house at the Devonport Country Club, as well as sessions with the Fonterra teams in Spreyton and Wynyard.

Wayne shared his mental health journey, with a toolkit to help everyone. Leigh shared the work RAW do to support the local community.

Creating a mentally healthy environment is a top priority for us - it’s a commitment we make to our people, our farmers, and our local communities. Thank you to everyone who came along.

Thanks @proudtobeadairyfarmer_aus @fonterra.oceania @gardinerdairy for the opportunity to attend the 2025 Program 🐄

Our industry is amazing and there are endless opportunities for ANYONE. Those who don’t have experience and want to give it a crack, grew up on farm, want to work in factory, advocacy, office, HR, literally anything. You just have to give it a crack

If you don’t know where to start, ask people for help. Talk to people. Look on job sites. Call people. There opportunities everywhere.
