For as long as we can remember, we have loved and dreamt of working with @abbyl_ward. From her years of working as Art Director at Tory Burch to the creative consulting she has done for incredible names like Ariel Okin, Weezie, Roller Rabbit, Draper James, Minnow Swim, and Mark Sikes, Abby has made a name for herself as the ultimate visual storyteller. Through her moodboards, she brings the souls of brands to life, capturing the pieces of an artistic identity that inspire the most magic and spark the most joy.

This past spring, we hosted Abby at our showroom in Georgetown, where we thought long and hard about what makes Evans & Sheldon unique. Much like Abby’s work, our job is to help turn our clients’ dreams into reality, creating something — or some place — that feels like home. With our family of nearly forty brands from around the world, we strive to balance elegance and sophistication with comfort and ease. Warm, inviting, and perfectly imperfect, our showroom recreates the feeling of visiting an old country house complete with maximalist florals, ivy covered walls, tattered Wellies, Fair Isle sweaters, and baskets full of wildflowers.

The first time we saw the board Abby created for us, we gasped! With fabrics hand-selected from our showroom, she has brought the soul of Evans & Sheldon to life, crafting a daydream of garden tea parties, barnyard friends, and enchanting interiors paired with some of our very favorite designs from @fermoie, @lewisandwood, @miareaydesigns, @penny_morrison_ltd, @namaysamay, @vanrenenhanbury, @alice.sergeant, @annajeffreysltd, @textilesbysmith_, @lakeaugust, @nicholasherbertltd, @decorsbarbares, @leahoconnelltextiles, @decordeparis, @volga_linen, @tessnewallstudio, and more.

With the air getting chillier, I’m sure many of us will be spending more and more time around our fireplaces.

For this first one I love the mix of different sizes of the art and the beautiful dog painting ties so well with the palette! 🐕

This is a wonderful example of using all of the available wall-space, you don’t have to limit your fireplace to a single painting above... I just love @mieketenhave barn.

I do however think that one large painting above the fireplace never fails! This is a great example and I love all the green! 💚

Even if you have a narrow or difficult wall, there will always be a painting that can fit! This is @coombe.end in a cosy snug space by @yellowlondon.id

The little nook bedroom in our Chelsea project was created from a wonderful layering of pattern, texture and colour which makes the space feel cosy, considered and wonderfully inviting.⁠

The richly layered palette brings warmth and depth, while contrasting patterns - small scale, stripes and florals - add personality without overwhelming.⁠

In a room where every inch counts, we made clever use of the space above the built-in headboard, creating joinery wrapped in a matching paper-backed fabric for a seamless and cocooning feel. ⁠

We loved working on this room as it’s a lovely example of how to create a small space which feels intentional.⁠

We have been loving creating so many beautiful beds this year, and this one is certainly no exception 🪡✨

This half tester with gathered valance features striking yet soft @pukkaprint linen and delicate @nileandyork Plough Stripe lining; pairing beautifully with a @pdfoams headboard in @fermoie linen, as well as complementary cushions & hand interlined Roman blinds in Coco by @sarahhardaker with @colefaxandfowler trim 💕

This is Jack’s room. Jack has flown the coop to NYC but whenever he feels like coming home, he has the coziest place to land.

Over the sofa we hung vintage New York lithographs as a nod to his new chapter in life. We added this paneling to feel old, original and enveloping. So many favorite elements here including @ritakonig for @schumacher1889 on upholstered bed, which was painstakingly custom made to fit perfectly between the existing book niches and window. @artisan312inc absolutely surpassed every test we threw their way, we were so fortunate to be able to commission them for multiple pieces and that is top 5 all time fun thus far! Another custom piece is the bobbin console by @alfrednewall fitting perfectly in this shallow nook, couldn’t be a prettier more perfect solution. Including the attached bath pics, we love to make a space feel like a suite and for beds and baths to be intertwined.

A top-floor bunk room and hangout space, transformed from what was once an attic into a fully fitted, practical extension of the rest of the house. A bedroom at one end, a sitting room and study in the middle, with built-in bunks leading through to the bathroom. The perfect spot for future grandchildren and overflow guests. We love working with unusual spaces and finding ways to make them work harder, while creating a joyful, considered scheme at the top of the house. 💕💕
