WOULD YOU BUY A HOUSE YOU’VE NEVER SET FOOT IN? Two Danish families—including the founders of HAY—did just that. A palazzo that had stood empty for 25 years, bought over a video call. We spoke to the owners about bringing it back to life and their favorite spots in Puglia. Read the full interview at the link in bio.

Italian beauty

In Grottaglie, Puglia, Paola Nerilli (@pulanerilli) and Angelo Milano (@studiocromie) have erased the line between home and exhibition space. Beneath centuries-old stone vaults shaped by Byzantine and Arab influences, hand-painted tiles, contemporary artworks and @haydesign furniture - including a vibrant green sofa confidently stealing the show - coexist with effortless ease.

This isn’t a carefully staged decor. Think Casa Malaparte for its dialogue between architecture and landscape, with a hint of Andy Warhol’s Factory—only filtered through the slower rhythms of southern Italy: a place to live, work, host, create and curate all at once.

As Paola Nerilli puts it, the value of an object has little to do with trends. What matters is whether it has something to say.
