POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We're not trying to compete with the big gyms. We're doing something different, and that's exactly what we love about it.

I have nothing against commercial gyms. They're brilliant for the people who love them, but I don't particularly want someone banging weights off the floor while I'm blissing out in Savasana! 🤣

What I love about independent studios is that they're personal.

I love knowing the people who walk through my doors. Their names, their stories, their little victories. I love hearing about their lives, celebrating their achievements and watching friendships form between people who might never otherwise have met.

I also love knowing that when I support another independent business, I'm supporting a real person. Someone who has poured their heart, time, money and probably a fair few sleepless nights into creating something they believe in.

We're not enormous corporations! We're people with dreams, bills to pay, families to support and communities we genuinely care about.

Running a small independent studio can be bloody hard work, but there's something incredibly special about what we create.

I truly don't believe independent studios, fitness providers or wellness practitioners need to compete with one another either.

We all bring something different. Different personalities, different experiences, different ways of teaching and different spaces for people to find what feels right for them.

There's room for all of us.

So here's to the independent studios, the little businesses with big hearts and the people brave enough to build something of their own.

Let's support each other, because collaboration will always mean more to me than competition.

I would never be arrogant enough to assume that my teaching style is right for everyone. We all connect with different people, different approaches and different environments & that's a good thing! It's exactly why we need a variety of independent studios, rather than seeing each other as competition.

To everyone who does choose to walk through our doors, thank you. You're the reason we get to keep doing what we love.

Tagging a few fellow independents, show them some love ❤️

There is nothing more satisfying than a sequence that flows like this !!

@pulse__pilates ❤️‍🔥

This is the type of sequence I would repeat in my class plans to allow people to master it!! That satisfaction people feel after trying something until they nail it is important to allow.

Personally I like to make sure every class feels different with similarities this sequence being a similarity that we would work on until nailed then switch up

We did this on 1x heavy spring
