STATIC CHANNEL – WAVE I ALBUM
OUT OCTOBER 16, 2026

After a period of stillness, Wave I began with longform improvisations on synthesiser and bass guitar – letting sound unfold without expectation, and allowing structure to emerge through listening.

An improvised ambient electronic album shaped by presence, connection, and unexpected turns. Minimal textures stretch into shifting soundscapes, holding fragments of feeling somewhere between memory and dream.

Mixed by longtime collaborator Daphne Zoe Dahlia, Wave I is the first of two companion albums born from this period, each accompanied by abstract visuals exploring generative forms and fragmented memories.

Available worldwide October 16.
Digital + limited-edition artwork on 180g vinyl.

FRI 7/8 – PEARL: Dasha Rush (DE), Ozan, Ronja + It’s Giving Feral Event

This Friday, the inimitable Dasha Rush is returning to Helsinki, invited by the PEARL folks. The fierce interdisciplinary artist takes the stage at Kaiku on the 7th of August and by all indications, it’s going to be a wild ride. Dasha Rush has been an active force in the experimental electronics landscape ever since the late 1990’s, blurring the boundaries between techno, ambient, and industrial music with her releases on labels like Raster-Noton, Sonic Groove, and Full Panda Records.

Seeing her perform is an experience that cuts to the bone, transmitting strange signals through the marrow. Her sets fuse the body-shaking elements of EBM and industrial with the precision of techno and channeling it through decades-deep experience in experimentation with both the visual and the auditory, resulting in a hallucinatory feast for the mind and the body.

Opening the night are Ronja, techno talent on the rise and Ozan, one half of the Pearl crew and local techno luminary. In room two, It’s Giving Feral Event with mommystechnofuckdungeon2, Kofu (LIVE), Simon Svoboda (LIVE), Alessia Lee (LIVE), CAVE DEATH (LIVE), POT2 & PANZ and dollcoded. Visuals by Monica Hauck. Limited amount of advance tickets 12 € via Eventual. Tickets from the door 16 €. Free entrance before 23:00. Welcome!

Love What Is Left (extended) by Canadian duo, Static Channel - AFDS004 single releases on 07.05.26

"Love What Is Left is a patient, sprawling instrumental meditating on acceptance and love in the face of loss. Spontaneously composed on bass guitar and synthesizer, it was born from a series of fully improvised sessions that formed the foundation of our upcoming album, Wave I."
