My heart has been feeling heavy lately.
Life is good. I can’t complain.
And yet, I’m still not standing where I once imagined I would be.

Financially I’m not as stable as I thought I would be years ago.
I still don’t have that fame.
That name.

And I refuse to make everything look perfect on social media.

The truth is: this Western world is a lot to carry when you have an old soul.
Living by the spirit of my ancestors sometimes makes me feel fake, because I still have to function within this society.

And yet there is this call in my heart.
This wisdom in my body that tells me my path — my true way — is still unfolding.

I have felt alone my whole life,
like I never fully fit anywhere.

But now that my grandmother is getting older
and my brother is getting weaker,
that feeling of being alone has changed.

It’s no longer an existential crisis.

It’s something more emotional.

My psychologist told me that I might suffer from borderline PTSD.
He said I should listen to my emotions more.
Write them down.
Talk about them.
Be creative.

So yeah…
Here I am.
