Color of the Month: October — Orange: Energy • Warmth • Enthusiasm 🧡

For Michael Gardner, aka Miss @PumpkinNewHope, magic lives in the people who care for one another, through good times and when it matters most 🫂

Though he grew up in the area, Michael began coming to New Hope in the mid-eighties. Here, he found the family he was meant to be part of: people who welcomed him, took him under their wing, shared life lessons, and always had his back 🏘️

After decades of laughter, friendship, and a few tears, Michael is paying that love forward to a new generation. Being called “Nonna” or “Grandma” is a reminder of the place he now holds in the community that first embraced him 🎃

This October, Orange celebrates the energy, warmth, and enthusiasm that make people feel welcome. Michael’s story reminds us how that spirit carries from one generation to the next 🌈

After digging out from this week’s storm, we couldn’t help but think back to the Blizzard of ’96 that buried Bucks County and New Hope in legendary snowfall 🌨️

Miss @PumpkinNewHope shared this gem from @JohnAndPetersNewHope when the streets were quiet, the drifts were high, and the stories were just getting started 🥂

If you were there, tell us your tale in the comments below! Or share how you spent this past snow day 🛷

✨ This Giving Tuesday we are reminiscing on the joy, artistry, and community love from our drag show last August- we are looking for your support to help us keep that magic alive! Over the summer we were able to hit the halfway point, but we are still aiming to raise $100,000 this year. Every penny counts! 🦊🧡 #parkinsonsdisease #michaeljfoxfoundation #mjff #yopd #riversofhope #parkinsons #parkinsonsresearch #parkinsonsawareness

The heels may be off, but the energy is still alive 🎉

Thank you to everyone who showed up, danced, tipped, and celebrated one of New Hope’s most iconic traditions with us 💃🕺

A special thank you to those who contributed a donation at the door, every bit helps support New Hope Celebrates and Pride 2026. Huge shoutout to Amy Leon (@amyleon.e) and Sandy Santello (@SSantello) for capturing the joy, sparkle, and spirit of the evening 📸
