Puzzle #3: Hawaiian Food Truck – 1,000 pieces 🌺🚚🍍

This one was no joke. Bright colors, busy patterns, and pieces that all looked like they belonged everywhere and nowhere at once 😵‍💫

And somewhere around hour 10, a border piece disappeared. Full search party was launched, and naturally, the cat was suspect #1. No evidence, but she looked extremely guilty 🐱

We took a dramatic 24-hour break (because self-care) and came back with puzzle redemption in our hearts. That last piece clicked in like a movie ending. Cue celebration, snacks, and shouting “WE DID IT” like we’d just climbed Everest. Easily the toughest one yet—and weirdly, can’t wait to do it all over again.

“Hawaiian Food Truck Festival” by @punfuzzles and @buffalogamesinc 1000 pieces.

This was fun to see all the details as I puzzled. Though I have to say the lack of even one shrimp truck is disturbing 🤣. So many tacos for an area notoriously known for terrible Mexican food…just kidding. Kind of 😆

This puzzle has motivated me to take a little trek to the north shore this week and try some new to me food truck.

🌴 Gee, it's great to be in that fiftieth state
The land of enchanted dreams
What an isle, where it's heaven tropical style
Where love weaves a spell, it seems

We're flyin', comin' your way

We bought this puzzle at Walmart a while ago, at a time when they still sold a few Dowdle puzzles. Even though this one’s produced by Buffalo, it’s clear from both the composition style and painting technique that the image was painted by Eric Dowdle, or at least someone from his studio.

The quality of the puzzle is standard Buffalo. It was a China-made edition, not American, so there were a couple of notable differences; mainly, the cut is a bit different, and the pieces are glossier. Other than that, the quality is the same.

Did you spot all of the puns?
