My handle is now @punkcirque ! The “Zu” stood for Cirque du Soleil’s “Zumanity” which I was performing in when I originally created this account. 4000+ shows living my dream performing with @cirquedusoleil in the Cyr Wheel, as an S&M superhero and in the comedic/clown roles of Casanova and Dick the Sex Expert. So many incredible, life changing memories with a world class cast of performers who are still dear friends to this day. Got to meet some of my artistic heroes like Susan Sarandon, Ben Vereen and Baz Luhrman. Zumanity will always occupy a special place in my heart and artistic development 💋🖤💋

And why “punk” you ask? Because I love punk music and alternative/outsider/punk art in all its forms. I’m a punk rocker through and through in every aspect of how I approach creating. Sometimes working quick, fast and dirty gets the point across in a very real, direct and bombastic way. I like to challenge conventional societal norms and why we believe what we believe. I like to celebrate empathy, people doing extraordinary things in difficult circumstances and give a megaphone for the downtrodden and outsiders of all kinds. That’s my two cents. LOVE YA, JONAS 🔥🖤🔥

“To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.” Whenever I’m flying on my Fliteboard @fliteboard I feel like I’m living in an episode of Star Trek. So far I’ve surfed Lake Mead, The Hoover Dam, The Colorado River, Pacific Palisades in LA, Mission Bay in San Diego… always looking out for my next adventure out in nature, finding my Zen and new locations where I think to myself, “I can and probably should surf that spot.” I love the rush, the sensation when the board picks up speed, lifts off the water and everything goes… quiet. ⚡️🏄🏽‍♂️

Toured @thepunkrockmuseum with comedic actor and writer @johnrossbowie yesterday! John is a hilarious raconteur and human encyclopedia of all things punk rock. John also wrote the Ramones play I directed @vegastheatrecompany “Four Chords And A Gun” which is my favorite comedic play of all time. Ok, I may be biased given our mutual affinity for The Ramones, but if you didn’t catch my production, believe me it’s a DYNAMITE play equal parts hilarity and heartbreak. John is currently in the HBO Max series “Stuart Fails To Save The World” where he reprises his character Barry Kripke from “The Big Bang Theory.” John led a delightful and incredibly insightful tour of the museum, watch for some highlights!

‘After Dark’ @afterdark_show San Diego - FINAL WEEKEND! August 6-7-8-9. Ticket Link in Bio! Sexy 🔥 Dark 🖤 Cirque 🎪 There is a certain element of masochism in learning any circus act. One has to push through the pain, push through physical boundaries to arrive at something beautiful and extraordinary. See you at the show or forward this to anyone you know living in San Diego. Epic photos and huge thank you to 📸 @ihyallie for capturing this moment in the show!
