POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m slowly coming back.🤍

After my last personal post on grief, I found myself needing more space: to pause, listen, be present, and do the inner work.😌

The past months brought grief, changes, and things I carried quietly.

I needed time with God, and a reminder that as someone who guides others through life transitions, I’m also continuously learning and practicing what I share.

So when Lexus Philippines invited us to Elevated Wellness: A Pursuit of Sanctuary, it felt like a beautiful pause in the middle of this season.✨

Creating a Japandi-inspired mood board gave me a moment to slow down, notice, and make space for what matters.

Sharing about my lil project also challenged me to let go of overthinking, step outside my comfort zone, and simply be curious. Funny enough, those were the very notes I had for myself.🥹

Grateful for this experience and for slowing down with my husband.

Make space for your spirit.
Make space for joy.
Make space to evolve.
Make space for your own sanctuary.🦋

The line-up of @cinemalayaofficial films really stepped up this year! For the first time, I watched all the feature and short films in competition at the 22nd Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, held from August 6 to 18. 🎥

My top picks are, for full-length, “A.ni.mál” by Dustin Celestino, “2 Valid IDs” by Ma-an Asuncion-Dagñalan, and “Mag-iina” by Giancarlo Abrahan; then, for shorts, “The River Flows in Different Places” by Lot-lot Hermosura, “Para-paraan” by Mae Chan Li, and “Runo!” by Lysa Catolico & Jazmine Gin Pateña.

I also attended the Philippine premieres of “Enjoy Your Stay” and “58th”, two exceptional films on the international festival circuit, as well as the star-studded launch of “SINE. FILM. PELIKULA.: The 100+ Greatest Films of Philippine Cinema” with a panel of several filmmakers and actors featured in the book.

My complete feature film ranking:

1. A.ni.mál - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2. Mag-iina - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3. 2 Valid IDs - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4. Tayo Lang Ang Nakakaalam - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
5. Status: Rejected - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
6. Tirik - ⭐️⭐️⭐️
7. Ganggang - ⭐️⭐️⭐️
8. Hand of God - ⭐️⭐️1/2
9. Kakâ sa Yawan - ⭐️⭐️

Side quest: Food styling for KFC

As a multi-disciplinary design studio, our regular clients occasionally let us handle their food styling needs. This may not be our main gig but as long as it’s anything about design and anik-anik, we can do it!

If you have any design problem, let us know and let’s make it happen.

Film Music Legends: The Scores of John Williams & Hans Zimmer 🎶

Hearing the scores from Indiana Jones, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Hook, Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Top Gun, Dune, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Carribean, Gladiator, The Lion King, Superman, and the Man of Steel live with a full orchestra is definitely something I will never ever forget! 😭

It was truly an honor working with Maestro Gerard Salonga, Sir Diomedes Saraza Jr., the Filharmonika Orchestra, and Ms. Bituin Escalante for this film concert. The country’s best of the best! ✨

Thank you to the entire Film Concerts PH team for making all of this happen, especially to the show team! We did all of this just days after we did One Piece: Music Symphony too! What a feat! ✨

Two film concerts down, a lot more to go for this year! See you all in the next one, The Witcher In Concert this March 28 & 29 at The Theatre at Solaire!
