On the way back across Canada, I tried to stop at different places than when I drove out. Some places I couldn’t resist going back to again 🙈 It was truly a dream trip to be able to drive across Canada, spend time in the Maritimes, and come back home. I recommend everyone do this drive at least once in their lifetime 🫶 🩷 L’Innocent (Rivière-du-Loup, QC) 🩷 I visited @cafelinnocent on my way out east, and I absolutely had to stop on my way heading home. Their food is really delicious, but it’s also one of the very few places with vegan options in Rivière-du-Loup! 📷 vegan nachos 📍 460 Rue Lafontaine, Rivière-du-Loup, QC G5R 3C2 ✨ Pure Kitchen (Ottawa, ON) ✨ One of my good pals loves the food at @purekitchenottawa. We went the last time I visited her in Ottawa, and we went again this visit. I had the vegan crunch wrap and it was the best. I did have a tragedy though… I forgot my leftovers in the restaurant 😭 Fun fact: my very first job was at a KFC/Taco Bell! 📷 vegan crunch wrap w/ fries 📍 340 Elgin St, Ottawa, ON K2P 1M5 💜 Oakberry (Ottawa, ON) 💜 I stopped at @oakberry.ca on my way out, and then I stopped again on my way home. I may or may not have a problem 😋 A delicious problem. 📷 peanut butter & jelly açaí bowl 📍 100 Bayshore Dr Ground Floor, Nepean, ON K2B 8C1 😋 My Thai Palace (North Bay, ON) 😋 My Thai Palace has a separate vegan menu, which made ordering so easy! I loved the variety they had for vegan food, and the portion sizes were great. 📷 deep fried tofu, papaya salad, pad see ew 📍 240 Main St W, North Bay, ON P1B 2T7 🥟 Soo Spice Yeti (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) 🥟 @soo_spice_yeti is the sweetest family-owned restaurant! The owners were so enthusiastic when they told me that they could make most of their menu vegan. The fried rice was wonderful, and I really like jhol momos. 📷 veg jhol momo, veg fried rice 📍 241 Trunk Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 3S7 🧋 Tea Bay Sweet (Thunder Bay, ON) 🧋 I did not have enough bubble tea on my trip, so I absolutely needed to stop at @teabaysweet. Also, look at their adorable mural! I don’t usually get coconut milk in my bubble tea, but it was a surprisingly delicious c

A lot of shaking. A little questioning of life choices. Zero regrets. Framework, according to the people who just survived it.

🎾 Capital Kids Summer Season Wrap! What a great way to wrap up another summer of Capital Kids! The OTA recently welcomed Nepean MPP Tyler Watt to Tanglewood Park to celebrate the program and recognize a $314,700 Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grant supporting the expansion of Capital Kids tennis programming in Ottawa. This three-year project will help reduce barriers to tennis for 1,800 low-income and marginalized youth, providing greater access to affordable programming, equipment and quality coaching across Ottawa. A special thank you to our sponsors for supporting the event as well as to MPP Watt, Gary Thomas of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Ottawa Councillor for Ward 9 for joining us and supporting the continued growth of Capital Kids. And a huge thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Government of Ontario for their investment in making tennis more accessible to Ottawa youth! Here’s to another summer of learning, playing and growing through tennis! #GetOntheCourt #TennisOntario #TennisCanada #OTA #OntarioTennis #CapitalKids #TennisOttawa #OntarioTrilliumFoundation
