🔊 Wollongong Youth in Focus: Eren (@erens.canvas) 🔊

"I enjoy going to Rainbow League because it's great to have a space where I get to talk about things with people who understand my experiences, it's also a respectful place to learn about new things.

I've also participated in some of the Youth in Fashion program where I learnt to make and adjust clothes.

I'm apart of Team Ignite which is a great program, I’ve been able to learn lots of behind-the-scenes information and also be heavily involved in 'Purple Fair Day' and 'Holigays.'

For 'Youth Week' this year I was involved with the award ceremony and youth markets, which was so much fun!

I'm a part of the on air playout program on Vox FM, I’ve been doing that for about 7 years, it's built up my confidence and feels great to be trusted enough to run a show.

I love Wollongong Youth Services because I've learnt a lot of useful skills and made some really great friends. All the staff are very kind and understanding, they allow you to grow and teach you skills you’ll have for life!"

We want to highlight local young people that frequent the Youth Centre and showcase their experiences and feedback. This is a continuing series 💜
