Before every class, ask yourself: Why did I come today?

What are you working toward? Who are you becoming? What made you show up when staying comfortable was an option?

In behavior science, intention gives behavior direction. Discipline carries you through resistance. Reinforcement teaches you that the effort was worth it.

Find your why before you clip in. Let it anchor you when your mind starts negotiating and your baseline starts feeling like your limit.

You bring the intention. I’ll bring the challenge. Together, we build the evidence that you’re capable of more than you thought.

Because the real reward isn’t just finishing the ride. It’s leaving with the confidence of someone who kept a promise to themselves.

Lock in, team. We have work to do. 🖤

⚡️ YOUR NEXT STEP STARTS WITH SHOWING UP.

Book your next ride. Make the commitment. Give yourself the opportunity to become the person you keep saying you want to be.

Cutest surprise to end the week! 🎃👻🖤

@julee_julez hooked me up with the absolute sweetest Boo Basket tonight—hands down the best way to ring in Halloween season! Even though I haven’t been able to be in the studio as much as I’d like this week, walking into this gesture made everything feel peachy. 😉🍑

Quick update for my ride-or-die community:
I’ll be back with you guys next Thursday! My cardiologist appointment is Wednesday, and I am praying for the green light to get back in the saddle that very day 🚴🏽‍♀️⚡️.

If we need to hold tight a little longer, my follow-up with my doctor is set for November, but either way—we stay on track via @stepbet !

Grateful for the love, the community, and the quiet movement in the meantime. 🫵🏽⚡️

HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY TO @shesascorpiobabe
YOU MAKE EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT A PLEASURE 😝❤️‍🔥

45 MINUTES. ONE ROOM. ALL VIBES. ❤️‍🔥

There’s nothing like being in a room full of people choosing to show up for themselves. Every song, every effort, & every moment matters.

I love what we’ve built together @purplepedal 💜

TAKE THE CHANCE & SEE WHAT HAPPENS
Sometimes opportunities come your way before you feel ready for them. Before you have the confidence, the experience, or everything figured out.

& sometimes, things are just HARD. Being a beginner is uncomfortable. Putting yourself out there is scary. It’s easy to doubt yourself or convince yourself you’re not ready. But just because something is hard doesn’t mean you’re not capable of it.

Growth requires you to get comfortable being uncomfortable, trust yourself, & give yourself the chance to figure it out along the way.

Whether it’s trying something new, chasing a goal, or stepping outside of your comfort zone, don’t count yourself out before you even begin. You seriously never know what can happen when you give yourself a chance. 🫶🏼

Forever grateful for my @purplepedal family, @spindaddydrew & @angiie_geee for taking a chance on me & seeing qualities that I hadn’t even recognized in myself yet. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to grow into a version of myself I didn’t know I could be. 💜

HERE’S TO MORE GROWTH!!!

Let’s talk about FAST jogs😛

When I was a rider, fast jogs genuinely scared me. Anytime an instructor said, “Take off the resistance, we’re gonna go faster,” I would want to get up and LEAVE the class.

It took me a while to realize that going fast was part of spin, and instead of dreading it every time, I needed to give myself the time and patience to get better. To try my hardest, little by little, until one day, something that used to intimidate me became something I actually enjoyed.

And that’s something I promised myself I wanted to bring into my classes as an instructor. 🤍

I want my riders to understand that going fast doesn’t mean you have to give up, be perfect, or keep up with every single beat and crazy choreography. It’s about the MINDSET. It’s about the mental battle you have with yourself, choosing to keep trying, trusting your progress, and realizing you’re capable of so much more than you think.

So YES, if you hear around the studio that Abby’s class is faster… it definitely is.😉 But it’s also a testimony to how far I’ve come as a rider and how far I want to help my riders come, too.

Because I know what it feels like to be intimidated by the fast stuff, and I want you to know that you don’t have to be good at it on day one. You just have to be willing to try!! I’ll see you in class soon!

THERE’S A MOMENT IN EVERY CLASS WHEN YOU MEET THE VERSION OF YOURSELF THAT WANTS TO QUIT.

I call it the stagnant line.

It’s the checkpoint between who you’ve been and who you’re capable of becoming. The moment you decide: Do I stay comfortable with what I know, or do I push one percent beyond my baseline and see what happens?

One more rep. One more second in the hover. One moment longer before you convince yourself you can’t.

Every class, just before weights, I intentionally choose a song that speaks to the person I believe you’re capable of becoming. Because sometimes, all it takes is a moment, a feeling, a little external reinforcement to challenge the voice that says, “No, let’s stay here,” and replace it with, “Well, let’s see what happens.”

That’s the beauty of behavior science. Growth doesn’t happen simply because we tell ourselves we’re capable. It happens when we act, experience the outcome, and learn that we can do something we once believed we couldn’t. When the evidence of what we can do becomes more powerful than the comfort of staying the same.

And as a coach, watching that happen in real time is one of the most beautiful things I get to witness.

The moment the line is crossed.
The moment doubt becomes evidence.
The moment a version of yourself you hadn’t met yet walks into the room.

The goal was never to compete with the person beside you. It was to outgrow the person who walked in.

One percent better. Every ride. Every rep. Every choice.

See you in the saddle room. 🖤
