i’ve been missing nol sm this past month so i decided to pick up my pen 🤭✍️ 🌟

drawing the stripes on his shirt was def one of my fav parts of this and also!! im proud of his hand. i did that in like 2 goes instead of 8373. i didn’t use an ab ref bc the reference i was using didn’t have the same body shape as nol so.. let’s ignore how its uneven… u might not even notice it but there r two colour variants bc i’m indecisive 😭

kinda wanna fix up the little mistakes and make a print of this for myself cuz im pretty proud of it!

I made this very quickly and I hate it but I thought about the fandom and thought that if I can play into into keeping this fandom alive then I should post it for you all.

the perception of what love means to Kousuke has been completely fake since the beginning. He's been drugged, manipulated and lied to, yet it's all he knows. Even when he was alone in college he was still acting under influence due to the aftermath of being raised in such a way. Kousuke tried to get the love of his dad which he never got, thought that he was loved by his mom which turned out to be a lie and got isolated from the external world. This is why it is so hard for him to recognize that what is going on in his life is wrong, especially when he has been trying to hard/sacrificed everything to get approval.
It's easier to believe in a lie than to face the truth when it means that all your life has been wasted, worthless and you've hurt others in an unjustified way.

quick notes about the edit : "love" is in black to remind the "black" tea, the love given to him is a lie/drug. blue : not questioning/drowsy ; red/orange : burning lies, truth slipping/covering, instability. image behind another represents the conflicting nature of his thoughts/events happening. (the mother behind the hand gesture for example)
quick transitions yet somewhat still clips : before kousuke has the time to reflect his thoughts keep clashing each other or his mother takes control back. (the glitches ofc plays into the confusion aspect)
