The idea behind @purpleturtlesedit was to give people room to explore, pause and decide in their own time. @gauravbrai talks about seeing that vision come to life and why @oorjaadesign, the lighting floor is his favourite part of the store.

A project like Edit is never made by one person or one team alone. It takes ideas, skill, patience and a lot of people showing up, day after day. This is a small tribute to the people who helped bring it to life. We’re grateful to every one of you.

You’ve seen these massive lights at Bengaluru International Airport.
But did you know they were created by @oorjaadesign
Their lights are made using natural, sustainable materials, including plant waste.
Now, @oorjaadesign has opened its flagship store at @purpleturtlesedit in Indiranagar Bengaluru.

When a client knows what they want a space to offer, it gives the design a meaningful starting point. Radeesh and Gaurav brought that clarity to Edit, and we’re grateful for the trust and direction they gave us as we worked to create a new experience.

✨ A 1987 Architectural Landmark Reborn: The Purple Turtles EDIT Opens in Bengaluru!
✨Bengalurus iconic design scene has just witnessed something extraordinary. MAA House—the legendary 1987 corporate office designed by architect Karan Grover—has begun its second life as Purple Turtles EDIT.
Conceived by founder Radeesh Shetty, this expansive 20,000 sq. ft., seven-floor destination moves far beyond a conventional retail store. It brings together design, collecting, art, food, and culture in a breathtaking space centered around a five-storey atrium and lush greenery.
🌱What makes EDIT unique?
Seven Floors of Discovery: From the basement dedicated to dining and tableware, up through antiques, vintage finds, contemporary furniture, and Oorjaas material-forward lighting, all the way to the Beruru landscaped terrace.
Thoughtful Adaptive Reuse: Retaining the soul of MAA House while integrating salvaged architectural elements from across India—from Gujarat timber banisters to Chettinad pillars.
A New Cultural Hub: Complete with a fine-dining restaurant and a terrace designed for workshops, talks, and community gatherings.📍 Location: Old Airport Road, Domlur, Bengaluru
🕒 Timings: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
Whether you are looking to design your dream home or simply experience incredible architecture and curation, this is a must-visit destination in the city!#Design #Architecture #InteriorDesign #RetailDesign #ThePurpleTurtles #BengaluruDesign #AdaptiveReuse #SustainableDesign #NewStoreLaunch

What stays with us most is the scale of it: seven floors, each with a life of its own, all taking shape at the same time. The challenge was to let each space respond to its purpose and still feel part of a larger whole. Seeing that come together was deeply satisfying.
