KLSCM 2026 Full Marathon Finisher 🎉

What a year it has been, diving deep into the running world 365days ago as a complete beginner to completing my first ever running race!

I’ve always hated running because i suck at it and running hurts. Honestly this is the hardest i’ve ever trained in my life.

What made it all worth it is the people i met along the way, mentors and coaches @angelsavoir @pushlukepush @edwingo @karsten.sr who believed in my potential when im doubting myself. They told me its possible before i even dared to dream big.

Thank you @lovedanch00 who introduced me to @kjrunclub which really made me fell in love with running and the people. @syed_shahzli I truly admire and appreciate the warm and welcoming club that you built! The running community is amazing.

Although I didnt hit my time goals, but im so proud of myself for pushing through the discomfort to finish what i promised myself to do. Proving to myself that I CAN DO HARD THINGS!

Running has taught me alot about myself, how to show up even when its hard. Knowing that hard work does pay off.

Thank you to everyone who inspired me to start running, I am grateful to be on this journey with all of you ❤️

Hi Ipoh 👋🏽 Thanks for the good weather!

First time joining @htmipoh7bridgesmarathon and I’m quite pleased 😌 The amount and locations of water stations are well planned, seems decent.

Some feedbacks for improvement will be the road safety. Although marshalls stay in junction but roads are not closed and no safety cone 🥲 While paper cup is not the best for environment, the used polystyrene cup jn water stations are no better.

Overall, I don’t mind going back again for ipoh food 🤤

First race after countless DNSs. 🏁

Back to the same hometown where I ran my second FM back-to-back last year — but this time, taking on the HM as part of my recovery and the final test before KLSCM.

With slight drizzle and a very ideal API over the past two days, I was honestly just happy to finally make it to the starting line again.

The first HM was more of a test run. My body engine felt cold going into the race, while the heart was still on fiyahh 🔥. Followed it up with a short 10K at MP, which wrapped up my first proper outdoor run after a week.

Today’s run definitely made me think twice about chasing a PB. The body still felt like it was finding its rhythm again.

Grateful for the race, the weather, the people, and the opportunity to be back doing what I love.

And of course, happy 10th anniversary, HTM! 🎉

Throwback for Boom Run 2026!!!!(13/9/2026),很开心今年可以参加首次Boom Run这个赛事!也恭喜我安全顺利完赛!😎👍💪我这个月也没什么想破Pb,就把这个赛事当做是LSD训练，就只是想体验一下boom run这个赛事的气氛!💪💪💪
虽然一开始我是跑到已经有抽筋了三至四次😅😢，最后我还是靠我自己的意志力跑到顺利完赛!💪💪🙏是真的很不容易!😭😭💪👍👍然后也谢谢boom给我机会来参加这个赛事!🙏🙏👍💪希望明年还能再来参加!👍💪💪非常不错的体验!👍💪

#FMTLifestyle Luke Chua was already halfway along the 30km marathon when he spotted a runner struggling with a cramp.

The other participants just ran past, focused on getting to the finish line, and perhaps also hoping to better their personal times.

But Chua chose to stop and help him. He approached the runner Zahidi Zein Lazim to offer him a spray to ease the cramp and helped him stretch his muscles so he could continue the race.

For the wheelchair-bound Chua, it was not something remarkable. He did not see anything extraordinary in his action. All he saw was a fellow Malaysian who needed help.

But that simple act of kindness at the Score Marathon in Putrajaya on July 19 went viral on social media.

For 25-year-old Zahidi, Chua’s decision to help him left a deep impression.

He told FMT that the encounter with Chua showed him how sport could bring people together when someone is willing to put aside personal interests to help others.

Chua believes the roles could have easily been reversed. “Today, I may be helping someone, but on another day, I may be the one who needs help from a fellow Malaysian of a different race or background,” he told FMT.

#CitraFMT Ketika acara Score Marathon di Putrajaya, semangat Malaysia terserlah bukan melalui kibaran Jalur Gemilang atau laungan merdeka, tetapi menerusi satu tindakan kecil antara dua rakyat berbeza kaum, usia dan latar belakang.

Luke Chua, 43, yang menggunakan kerusi roda sejak mengalami kecederaan saraf tunjang pada usia 17 tahun, sedang menyertai perlumbaan itu apabila terlihat Zahidi Zein Lazim, 25, mengalami kekejangan otot.

Ketika peserta lain meneruskan larian untuk mengejar catatan masa masing-masing, Luke memilih berhenti.

Dia menghampiri Zahidi, menawarkan semburan bagi melegakan kekejangan dan membantunya melakukan regangan supaya dapat meneruskan perlumbaan.

Bagi Luke, keputusan itu mudah. Ketika itu dia tidak lagi mengejar catatan masa sendiri dan merasakan bantuan yang diberikan mungkin membolehkan Zahidi mencapai sasaran diinginkannya.

Tindakannya kemudian tular di media sosial, namun Luke tidak melihatnya sebagai sesuatu yang luar biasa.

Bangsa Zahidi juga langsung tidak terlintas di fikirannya. Baginya, apabila seorang rakyat Malaysia memerlukan bantuan, perkara paling wajar dilakukan adalah menghulurkan tangan.
