We journeyed out from the Big Apple to loop Pelham Country Club with our good friend @putterkid. A short drive from the city, pristine conditions and an ancient test of PGA championship golf, we were blown away. Ed unfortunately chopped it, Charles had an inspired day and flushed it around the property. Here’s to many more rounds in the TTAG merchandise, supporting a great cause and spreading the vision. Stay tuned for a big video project getting released this week. A St Andrews nostalgia film through and through.

WE LIKED THAT… didn’t we @kirkcousins?

It’s hard to describe what exactly the @spiked_milk_invitational (Presented by @milkygolf) is… other than an afternoon turned evening in a backyard golf fantasy world. 50+ Am’s from around the East Coast participate in this annual backyard par 3 event outside of Philadelphia. The course is incredible, the vibes are high and the milk & cookies are even better. Can’t wait for next year…

The lie angle and loft of a putter are essential for optimizing performance on the greens, and here's why:

Lie Angle: This refers to the angle between the center of the shaft and the ground when the putter is placed in a playing position.

A correct lie angle ensures that the putter's sole lies flat on the ground, promoting consistent strikes. If the lie angle is too flat or too upright, it can cause directional issues:

Too flat: The heel may dig into the ground, pushing putts to the right (for right-handed players).

Too upright: The toe may dig in, pushing putts to the left.

Customizing the lie angle based on your stance and posture helps keep the putter's face square at impact, improving aim and roll.

Loft: The loft on a putter helps lift the ball out of any slight indentation on the green and gets it rolling smoothly. Most putters have a loft between 1 and 4 degrees. If the loft is:

Too high: The ball may jump off the face, leading to inconsistent roll and poor distance control.

Too low: The ball could be pushed into the turf, causing skidding before it starts rolling, affecting both distance and direction.

The right combination of lie angle and loft will ensure a more consistent, controlled stroke and improve your ability to make putts.

Getting a professional putter fitting using Science and Motion, such as a tour level fitting at Club Champion, can help find the perfect specs for your stroke, leading to better performance on the greens.

Since 40% or more of your strokes are on the green, why wouldn't you give yourself the best chance at success?
