ORBIT Electronic Music Series presents: “DETROIT TECHNO SHOWCASE” Techno was born in Detroit. Saying this, for the first time in Puerto Rico we present three pillar artist that have shaped and keep shaping Detroit Techno sound.. SCAN 7 [Live] [TRESOR BERLIN,UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE,SCAN RECORDS] -Founded in the late 1980s in Detroit and deeply tied to Underground Resistance family Scan 7 is one of the most leyendary Live Techno Acts to this date. In 1996 they release the álbum Dark Territory in the leyendary Tresor Berlin label wich helped creating the blueprints for today’s Techno sound. THE AM/AMX [TRESOR BERLIN,REALMS OF TECHNO] -Ann-Marie Teasley, known as The AM, and most recently AMX comes from the Detroit - Berlin school of techno and is known for her signature techno / electro sound. With multiple releases on Tresor Berlin and boss of her label Realms Of Techno, she is one of Detroits most promising female artist in the last decade. DJ I.V. [SCAN RECORDS] -DJ I.V. has embraced his legacy of being rooted from Detroit and is committed to playing Techno in a Proper manner. With his massive HOER BERLIN set this year and his recent vinyl release Primus Scan 7s label, SCAN RECORDS marks his first appearance on wax and a key milestone in his evolution as both a producer and performer. …………………………………………………….. ORBIT Electronic Music Series presents: For the first time in Puerto Rico the man carryng the torch and legacy of Detroits Techno future DJ I.V. [SCAN RECORDS] DJ I.V. has honed his skills as a music producer and audio engineer for years in multiple genres and has embraced his legacy of being rooted from Detroit and is committed to playing Techno in a Proper manner. His sets are captivating and high energy by mixing in hard hitting tracks with an emphasis on delivery. DJ I.V. classifies himself as DJ Technician by way of putting an emphasis on finesse and firmly crafted techniques by way of blending multiple tracks together gracefully and keeping dance floors captivated. He is the sort of DJ whose energy is contagious from the moment he hits the decks to the end of his set. By building a reputation of electrifying crowds and keeping them steadfast in the groove of techno or house he has become a notable force in the Detroit electronic music ecosystem. A music producer for over 12 years, he has released multiple EPs and singlesg digitally—but his recent vinyl release Primus Scan 7s label, SCAN RECORDS marks his first appearance on wax and a key milestone in his evolution as both a producer and performer. Rather it be tracks from pioneers that helped build the arena that he stands within or music he catches within his personal life, there is no mistake that DJ I.V. is inspired by his heritage and the musical evolution in and outside of Detroit. ORBIT Electronic Music Series presents: For the first time in Puerto Rico Detroit’s most exciting new female DJ and producer: THE AM/AMX [TRESOR,REALMS OF TECHNO] Ann-Marie Teasley, known as The AM, and most recently AMX comes from the Detroit - Berlin school of techno and is known for her signature techno / electro sound. By connecting the dots between the past, present, and future of the Detroit sound, she has translated the futuristic musical ideas of back then into the present. Before becoming one of Detroit’s most exciting new producers, the orchestra kid played in the first violin section of Metro Detroit’s Oakland Youth Orchestra. She made her entrance as a DJ playing underground parties in Detroit and NYC before dropping her debut EP “Black Majik” on Berlin’s Tresor label in 2022. The Detroit native also released a second EP “Sexworker” on the Dutch imprint Deeptrax Records, which Groove Mag DE described as “an abstraction of classic futuristic Detroit sound.” While being on iconic line ups like Movement Electronic Music Festival, Berghain’s Birthday Anniversary, Freedom Festival Columbia, and Bar Do Deca Brazil, she began to release electro tracks with catchy vocals under the monicker AMX, starting out with “Ride.” On NYC’s Haus of Altr label. Followed by “Werk It.” on International Chrome. She returned to the Tresor label in 2024 as AMX for their collaboration with Carhartt WIP. In 2025 AMX was featured on EU labels Paraíso and Activity Vision. …………………………………………………….. ORBIT Electronic Music Series presents: For the first time in Puerto Rico directly from the Techno capital DETROIT CITY,the legendary live Techno act: SCAN 7 “LIVE” [TRESOR,UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE,SCAN RECORDS] SCAN 7 is an electronic music collective from Detroit their members include an ever evolving lineup of masked musicians and vocalists led by founding member TRACK MASTA LOU. Their sound is constantly evolving, echoing the techno sound of their hometown and then, seemingly at will, mutating from electro to uplifting house or any number of other sub genres. Scan 7 are closely tied to Underground Resistance and Tresor Berlin and have remained protagonists of the Berlin-Detroit axis since it was first forged in the sweaty obsidian of the club’s original Wertheim vault home. They released albums and rare recordings through Berlin’s influential Tresor Records. ……………………………………………………..
