Abandoned water park / resort in Iowa. This was about half way between our overnight stop at a haunted boat launch in Nebraska and our campsite in Gypsum, Colorado (shared a couple posts back). It was eerily small inside for the amount of hotel rooms attached. I set a time for exactly 15 minutes, grabbed these photos, and made doggy dinner while the guys explored the upper rooms.

Astrophotography in Moab. Honestly not the biggest fan of these, but if I don’t post them now I’ll never share them. The milky way was directly behind us but I was too sleepy to care!!! We also saw a string of Starlink satellites go by which was hilarious because at this point in the trip I had bent and broke my Starlink cable. These were all 20 second exposures.

Leaving Chicken Corners & Hurrah Pass. We drove up this trail after sunset before the moon came up and had a crazy time on the trail. It took us 3 hours and several attempts to make it past a rock crawling obstacle. After spending the night on the edge of a butte covered in desert foliage and the occasional pile of cow manure we drove down in full light.

I wouldn’t say this is the most remote place I’ve been, but getting here took a lotttt of effort
-
Instagram won’t let me post videos and maintain a mixed aspect ratio so I’m going to make a second post with trail videos.
