Pilbomad presenterar: PY

- KONST -

“Creativity isn’t a gift reserved for the few. It’s a skill we can develop. A practice we can train. But how do we actually do that?

This past Wednesday, I welcomed 70 bachelor students to the course ‘Design Process and Method’. Across five different design disciplines, we explore what it really means to be a designer. We’re not just looking at how to generate (lots of) ideas, but how to work within the complex and unresolved — where challenges are open, conflicting, and constantly shifting.

In these first few days, we’ve thrown wooden blocks, brainstormed through materials, and entered into an arranged marriage with a screaming rubber chicken. To frame our exploration, this year’s theme is ‘The Meal’, and we’re working with ‘pre-teens’ as our user group — a big thank you to Aarhus Skovvangskolen for the collaboration!

I hope the course offers a new perspective on design as a language between people, materials, visions, and action. Perhaps this is where creativity lives: in the in-between spaces of chaos and structure, hope and craft — and in everything we create together... while figuring it out as we go.”
