Oh my gosh, another five star read of the month and another book I'll be recommending forever.

It follows Josie and Daniel who meet when he saves her from jumping off a cliff. She's given up after her mom's death and she has been completely alone. Daniel, the sunshine golden retriever who hides his own pain, makes it his mission to befriend her and make her smile as they spend more and more time together.

There's so much more to this book but I feel like the majority of my moots have read it already. I knew this book was going to be special from the first chapter. It's very heavily focused on mental health, grief and depression which to me are very interesting and important topics that I have struggled with but also learn about in uni, since I'm a psychology student. They were all handled incredibly here and I sobbed OFTEN. The writing was absolutely beautiful. These topics need to be handled with care and the author did her best here. Josie and Daniel, MY BABIES. Josie was completely understandable with her decisions and reactions. She was a cohesive character. So caring, so kind and just so beautiful. She motivated others when all she wanted to do was to disappear. And Daniel, my ANGEL. The perfect book boyfriend with how attentive, determined and caring he was with Josie but also there was so much more to him. He made me cry too many times to count and drove me insane with his "I'm fine" but I completely understood it. They both carried their pain in different ways but were so perfect for each other you could actually feel their love and believe that they're meant to be together. I loved them both so much that I had a hard time saying goodbye. This was a masterpiece.
