That finish line represented so much more than a race.

On my knees, looking up at the clock, I wasn’t thinking about my time. I was thinking about everything it took to get there—the last few months, the battles nobody knows about, and the days I carried more than anyone realized yet still kept moving forward.

When the course got hard, I thought about raising @q__robertson on my own and watching that little boy grow into a young man who now competes for himself. I reminded myself, You’ve done harder things. Keep fighting.

Because sometimes no one is coming to carry the weight for you. You make the decisions, pick up the pieces, and keep going.

So when I crossed that finish line and dropped to my knees, it wasn’t because the race broke me.

It was the weight of realizing how many times life tried—and I’m still here.

And one of the greatest things I’ve ever done is raise a son who knows how to fight for himself, too.

I couldn’t have gotten to the finish line without all my race prep coached by @erinbates20
Every Monday call adjusting what we needed to get that 3 min PR and 27 out of 202 in my age group.

🎥@furyphotography for directing me that I was done running when I almost ran an extra lap at the end and absolutely pushed me to the finish with a camera in my face. I didn’t even know his name the entire time. 🤣

To all my friends and family who supported my efforts for this race. I turned down a lot of fun things with them because I needed to stay on lock. They understood. And the day of everyone sending messages before, during and after. I love you all for everything.

Closing out 45 grateful, happy and healthy with my favorite people. It’s been a rough year but these people have been by my side ride or die.
I feel stronger than ever physically and mentally. I’ve learned boundaries and caution with who I share my life with. These people you see here are my ride or die. They know my heart and they have my heart. As I open 46 tomorrow, I’m officially closer to 50 and I’m ok with it. I feel stronger and younger than I ever have in my life. The goal is to push smarter, harder and kinder.

Wow. March, you were really something to my heart and soul. Probably the hardest month of my entire life BUT March ended with so much closure and ended exactly how I needed it to end. Mental toughness was tested and I failed but also won in so many ways. Letting go of what doesn’t serve you back hurts but also freeing. We were accused of untrue things but proved who we are in the end. You did good Q.
People do not want you to win but also do not make us prove you wrong. I’ve had friends really show me unconditional love through the toughest times. My support system was there every step and shows what really matters in life. Mental health is real and so is heart and hard work. Happy to have March in the past for a new season of growth and opportunity.

Took @q__robertson back to his first gym. The gym that raised him. The gym that raised us. The gym that built us into who we are. I told Q that when he walked in the core memories would hit hard. If you knew Q way back then he lived on the court all the way through half of college. Always known to be the hardest worker. He still is but in a different way. Basketball. Basketball and the gym raised us.
