We’ve been keeping a secret… and we know you’ve all been waiting. Today’s the day we let it all out!

The plans are set, the design is locked, the food is vetted, Sumptuous Spirits crafted the menu, and the entertainment is secured. Only question is… where???

The Tyrone E. Winfrey Hall of Fame Alumni Gala returns Saturday, May 16, and the destination for A Different World is none other than East English Village Preparatory Academy at Finney. Formerly known as Finney High School, this rebuilt school is just 10 minutes from downtown.

We’re thrilled to take it east this year and transform this standout school into a futuristic, immersive experience. EEVPA is one of the high schools anchoring the District’s new High School Redesign initiative, which will be formally unveiled during the VIP Hour of the Gala.

Every year, we get props on our full transformations at the hands of Kori Fields and team. Come see what she’s created this year.

WOW! These last 14 weeks in the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Program challenged me to an entirely NEW LEVEL!

There were ups and definitely downs.
There were times I was disappointed in myself.
There were times I thought my dreams weren’t enough.
There were times I played small.
AND then…..
There were times I was truly proud of how far I’ve come.
There were times I rose above the doubt and noise and fear. BTW every new level requires a newer version of yourself!

As I walk into a new chapter (and alumni of the GS10KSB), I am forever changed.

I am changed by the support of the incredbile faculty and advisors.
I am changed by my new business besties and colleagues.
I am changed to…
make a bigger impact for moms around the world.
Because….dreams don’t end at motherhood.
