There is a difference between hayaa and living in fear of being perceived.

Hayaa brings you closer to Allah. Embarrassment over simply existing can make you smaller.

How many moments have we missed because we were too busy wondering who was watching? How many things did we not try because we were scared of looking stupid? How many versions of ourselves did we silence just to look “cool” in front of people who probably forgot about it five minutes later?

Islam teaches us humility, not self-erasure.

You were given this life as an amanah. Experience it. Laugh. Explore. Try. Fail. Get caught in the rain. Make the memory. Thank Allah for the ability to feel all of it.

Not everything needs to look cool.
Not everything needs to be perceived perfectly.
