Leze was never just Karen and Tanya. It took a team to propel this brand toward things we never imagined. We wouldn’t be here without them over the last 8 years 👉 Jess A. is our day 1 hire who stood with us through every transition. She saved us from a 100/emails a day and became the ear our community trusted most. Qairyn saved us from our mid-fulfillment crisis. Our first Gen Z hire who taught us to detach from our work and speak up fearlessly. Veronica’s energy was infectious, especially when she pulls out her anchor voice. Whatever role we put her in, she gave it her everything. Jill was with us through some of our hardest transitions, which pushed out of her comfort zone again and again. She taught us to never stop trying. Steph was cool as a cucumber through every stressful moment. When we had to clear a warehouse in a week, she sold everything in it. Ryan taught us everything we know about sizing, fit & curve bodies. Our signature designs wouldn’t exist without him. Our second Gen Z hire, Tina, taught us boundaries and honoured them unapologetically. Jess C became our compass whenever we lost the spark and brought us back to our roots. During tough times, she remained kind & understanding. Rachyl is the fierce warrior who’d go to war for you. Sometimes she’d be more worried than we were. She taught us how to actually read and dissect a contract. Katharine understood our community-first instincts that we never had to explain, even when they weren’t the easiest business calls.

Unpopular opinion: Gen Z didn’t ruin work culture. They exposed what was broken in ours. I used to think Gen Z was finicky, like they’ll quit if the AC is too cold. I didn’t get it. Then I hired Qairyn @qairynf. And for 3 years, I watched her unapologetically choose herself, be honest with her limitations and just… not die for her job. That changed something in me. What you see is what you get with Gen Z. After years of masking burnout as hustle, that was genuinely the most refreshing thing I’d ever seen. Turns out they’re just not fans of romanticizing exhaustion. PSA: if you have a Gen Z in your life — pay attention. They might be modeling the freedom you’ve been trying to earn. Maybe they didn’t have the career crisis like us. Maybe they just refused to inherit one 🤷🏻‍♀️
