Push Day (Chest/Tricep)

This is my fourteen week working on my chest program, which has me hit chest workouts 3 times a week. I will admit that I have been going off program now and taking different workouts that I like. This video was pretty much an ego lift video with how short the reps were and weights, but I just wanted to limit test where I was at before figuring out what to do or where to go. There are a lot of suggestions that I have received from many different people from this page or through the gym, but I honestly don’t know where to start. I decided for future videos that I am going to track my bodyweight and the weights of the workout to try to stay consistent.

I plan on saving up more money to invest in an SBD belt and possibly a trainer soon to start powerlifting seriously in the future.

I cut my chest day into 3 days
Day 1: Heavy Bench + Tricep or Bicep
Day 2: Speed/Technique + Upper back (I did legs this workout)
Day 3: Volume/Chest/Shoulder Hypertrophy

Push Day (Chest/Tricep)

Fast forward to my thirteenth week working on my chest program, which has me hit chest workouts 3 times a week. I didn’t record a video for the past week because I came during peak hours, or I was more focused on lifting than tracking. I have made a new PR with a 305 lbs bench press, but still unable to hit 315 lbs. It has been a longer journey than it’s supposed to be, but I know I am not training most efficiently with a real trainer and program. I plan on saving up more money to invest in an SBD belt and possibly a trainer soon to start powerlifting seriously in the future.

Push Day (Chest/Tricep)

This is my ninth week working on my chest program, which has me hit chest workouts 3 times a week. I didn’t record a video for last week because I came during peak hours, so I was unable to record. Last week I did 265 lbs for 3 reps, and this week I had to do 275 lbs for 3 reps too, which was very challenging. I think I haven’t pushed myself hard last week because this week’s chest workout felt like an RPE 9 or 10. Hopefully, I can continue the program and improve my lifts.

Leg Day

Nothing too crazy for this workout because I wanted to focus more on my form for low bar squats and slowing down my movements for my workouts. I think my hamstrings are growing a lot more than I thought they would, which I am pretty happy about. I think once I am comfortable with low bar squats, I’ll focus on working my way up to 4-plate squats. At the moment, I’m stuck on 275 lbs, trying to adjust the feeling of racking, positioning, and depth of the squat.

Calvin explained to me that keeping the tension is important for hack squats. I tried keeping a slight bend and not going all the way up to lock out. Focused on squeezing at the bottom of my squats.

Push Day (Chest/Tricep)

This is my seventh week working on my chest program which has me hit chest workouts 3 times a week. I decided to continue my program because it worked for me increasing my bench by 20 lbs (from 275 lbs -> 295 lbs). Now I got 20 more lbs to get to 315 lbs bench. I think so far I have gotten used to the feeling of benching heavy but I do notice my forearm strength is being challenged since I’m doing a lot of heavy workouts. I decided to do stair-master on days I don’t do my chest program because I want to become slimmer but I still want to optimize my chest growth.

I cut my chest day into 3 days
Day 1: Heavy Bench + Tricep or Bicep
Day 2: Speed/Technique + Upper back (I did legs this workout)
Day 3: Volume/Chest/Shoulder Hypertrophy
