World Champagne Day felt like a good excuse to revisit a favourite.

The team at @qtcanberra was pouring Perrier-Jouët, so after visiting the house in Champagne last year, we knew we had to be there.

QT Hotel offered me an exhibition in their main foyer of the Canberra Hotel back in I think it was spring 2019.

I showed my HORSE and Spotted series together both of which had been exhibited in other galleries around Australia and HORSE the original body of work was a sold out show where everything in the gallery sold multiple times over. It was HUGE! And put me on the map for that kind of portraiture work in my region.

From that exhitbion I made $14,500 in art sales from a 3 week show. Since then more than doubled that in selling the work since.

People who met me in Canberra years after the show had been and gone would say “ Oh I remember your horse portraits I went to your exhibition”!

It was a wonderful time in my career. I don’t feel like it’s completely over it’s just that other areas of my photography business and my mentoring business have taken my time at the moment.

But if you want to have an exhibition of your work one day or build a body of work, learn from someone who has been there.

We can do this type of work in private mentoring actually. If you’re interested let me know in the DM.
#🐴 or head to Bluethumb Gallery online and search Grace Costa to see my works for sale.
