Gammelgården Museum opened its doors for the 2025 season with an exciting celebration on May 3rd, welcoming over 900 guests to experience the museum’s new exhibits, a vendor fair, live demonstrations by artists, and tours of the historical buildings.

The Season Opening Day had many opportunities to learn about the vibrant history of Minnesota’s and the local community's cultural heritage.

"The event ran smoothly and exceeded our expectations. It was a lively and rewarding day, and the community came together to make it a success," said Hunter Panoch, Gammelgården's PR and Marketing Coordinator.

The event marked the official launch of the new season and featured a craft fair, local heritage associations, live textile and merchant demonstrations (such as weaving and blacksmithing), a historical fashion showcase, petting zoo, food, and more.

Guests had the opportunity to explore the museum grounds and learn about the historic buildings available onsite. Upstairs in the Welcome House, a new exhibit titled “Exploring the World of Immigrants” is now open for the 2025 season.

“As a new face at Gammelgården, I was so excited to meet the community! Creating varied food options at affordable prices was very important to me so we could serve our community. I look forward to the future library- and food-related activities and events I’ll be providing at the museum this season,” reflected Grace Taylor the new Food Coordinator and Librarian for the museum.

Gammelgården is now open for the season and is excited to welcome guests to the museum and Butik (gift shop), Wednesday–Saturday from 10am–4pm and Sunday from 1pm– 4pm.

It's almost Halloween Evan Hansen 🩵💙🖤🤍🧙‍♀️🎃

Dear Evan Hansen means so so so much to me. Having to see it alone was bittersweet. But it was phenomenal, I was third row with no one in front of me. Honored to see it in middle of nowhere Wisconsin. Such an important and moving show to me, helped me through a lot in 2022 while stuck abroad with horrible people.

These were taken last October on the release day of the FNAF movie when a group of my friends dressed up to see the premier of the FNAF movie. I've waited a full year to share these BEFORE Halloween for you all. (Oh and surprise IT'S ME!)
