THIS IS THE BIGGEST LATTE ART COMPETITION IN THE UK!

This year I finally got tickets to the annual @kaffeinelondon Smackdown! It spreads over a total of 5 weeks with 64 baristas competing for the title and a massive cash prize!

Only basic patterns are allowed with each round featuring a specific one. Simple hearts, no wiggles or frames. Tulips, with winged tulips allowed from this year. And rosettas.

Each barista gets two 5oz cups and has to steam the milk for both at once. After finishing the pours they choose their favourite and pour the remaining milk into a glass for everyone to see.

The judges vote based on technique, texture, symmetry and wastage.

Do you have what it takes?

Asked Carnaby Street what they really think of astrology 🔥

and the funniest part isn't the answers — it's that you can guess their sign before they open their mouth every single time 😂

We got Libras who couldn't commit to an opinion, an Aquarius being an Aquarius about it, and one man who was NOT having any of it 💀

so… believer or not? and what's your sign 👇

AWAL CREATOR FUND 2026

We closed out the first year of the AWAL Creator Fund last night and whilst I’m not done or even slowing down, I wanted to say a few key thank you’s!

Firstly, a huge thank you to every tastemaker, industry professional and specialist who lent their time and expertise - @gee_derrick @lockdownt_ @teon_tiz @chiiiimene @a1234music Sinead, Tyler & especially Arif who took the time to teach us about IP Law and how to protect yourself in our masterclass day!

Secondly, to the team who worked so hard to make it possible every week @lemontankagency @fridgeplug @lolakpl - dream team

A shout out to @ukrapnumbers for making my whole year featuring the fund and to every other creator who shared it far and wide. We had over 130+ applicants! The demand is there!

@musicweekinsta thank you for your support - brb printing each of these out and framing!!

Thank you so much to @fay.pritchard @breantonia & Kyle who mentored our winners in their own time for the last 6 months.

Of course, thank you to @ionabielby @gigswithglenn @akerokoye for allowing us to play a small part in your huge journeys. The ideation, drive, passion and storytelling is all yours and it’s been a real privilege to see it close up. Some highlights:

Iona - I don’t think I’ll ever forget the feeling of calling you about Finn, my face hurts smiling about it. Your genius is so present in the video and I can’t wait to see you takeover

Glenn - I mean you are just the king of festivals, your shift at Leeds this year was outstanding and I can’t wait for everyone to see the James & Day We Ran content!

Aker - our brainstorms were really my highlight, you are so inquisitive and receptive. I can’t wait for the world to see the pilot … its amazing

Ultimately, @samuelpottss @awal for applying your principles of development to the creator community. It’s above and beyond and the most fulfilling part of my career.

Last but defo not least - having all our curator community come together last night proved 1 thing to me - I’m the most grateful for how supportive you are to each other. It is everything and more.

Becca xx

This month has been one of the best months of my life ♥️

Talk about living life to the fullest, making friends and just pure enjoyment 🔥⭐️ nobody can rein me in at this point…

Not only did I attend all points east twice, go reggae land, attend birthdays, go to carnival, golfed, put on a scratch night for unknown writers and actors. I also wrote 14,000 words this month for a diploma and created a memorial bench for my friend that passed away last year ☀️⭐️ 😳

I also forgot… I watched two great plays and played some banging football 🔥☀️ AND ALSO ORGANISED THE STAFF SUMMER PARTY FOR MY WORK 🫣 I promise that’s it…

I spent so much time with my wonderful best friend ⭐️ @daniellaisabellax grateful for you always ♥️

What a month huh!!!
Thanks to all that made this month so memorable ♥️☀️

Time for a fun game! Can you count the number of cups in this reel?

I’ve thought of this idea for so long and finally an opportunity arise! I love how shiny the brown cups are that the hanging light above it is reflecting on the cup’s surface.

So many cups are there? Comment your answer 🤗

If you get a cappucino here, it’ll probably look like this.

The term cappucino comes from Capuchin friars, monks who wore distinctive brown robes with hoods. Cappucino essentially translates from Italian to ‘little hood’ referring to their robes. Hence, the drink was supposed to resemble the colour of their robes.

The latte art in figure A is called a ‘monks head’, a flat white top to resemble the bald spot of a monk. If we’re being honest @danthebaristaman would tell you it should have a brown ring around the outside but it might just be a skill issue on our part.

The latte art is supposed to give a nod to the origin of the drink. You’ll receive it half with chocolate and half without, so you can choose how you wish to enjoy it.

If the texture is bang on, you’ll be sipping on clouds.
