𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮

𝗕𝗥 𝗜 𝗤 invites you to experience the many shapes, objects, and rituals that have defined our identities across generations.

From the stack of plastic chairs at family gatherings that always seemed to crack under pressure, to the lucky cat figurines found in every milk bar and Asian restaurant. From the metal pots suspended over firewood, filled with dishes that carried the taste of home, to the PSP you carelessly threw into your backpack, yet somehow couldn’t leave the house without.

These everyday objects are more than things. They are vessels of memory, migration, culture, and belonging.

As we moved from one land to another, we carried traditions, recipes, languages, and stories passed down by our mothers, fathers, grandparents, and communities. These objects became anchors, connecting us to where we came from while helping shape who we are today.

Through their work, each artist reflects on the forms, memories, and experiences that have shaped their sense of identity and belonging.
