Winter Season 2025/2026

Indescribable. Truly. As snow slowly starts to fill the mountains, my heart immediately goes back to last year and the fact that I somehow never posted about it. So in traditional Faithy fashion, I hope you all enjoy looking through these memories as much as I cherished living them.

Quay Queens!!! After the success of last year, it was silly of us not to go bigger and bigger than ever. We hosted a total of four ride days, a specialized event for our Mini Queens, collaborated with Freestyle Alberta, the legendary Rude Girls crew AND even had a documentary filmed/made about us that was produced by my long time Banff bestie, Anna. How amazing is that? It still blows my mind to see how much this group has blossomed in such a short amount of time and is a sole reason to why my heart will now and forever be so complete.

Both the new and old faces - you guys are stuck with me forever. You filled my cup, supported me when I was down, and impacted my life in ways that neither you or I will ever fully understand. Despite how fun these times are are, there is always that brief period during winter where we all go a bit crazy and slowly start to question what we are REALLY doing, but having that solid group of people who are not only not only feeling the same, but are willing to help pull you through it makes all the difference.

Looking back at where life started, and where it is now hits hard, because at the end of the day when you strip everything else away, this dream is the one reality that kept me whole. Being able to work in and help build a community that not only supports other Women in sports, but also one that has impacted, changed and saved my life and in so many different ways has been the biggest blessing that I have ever received. No amount of words posts or stories will ever begin to describe my gratitude for the past, present and future of this space and the unity it has brought into my world.

The air is getting colder, meaning soon we will untied again to share what we love most about this special place and I could not be more excited ✨💗

Margaret Stephens Emerging Leader Award Nominee: Quay Queens ✨

Led by Bow Valley locals Ken Barber, Faith Nickel, Brier Gyles, Amelia Weber, and Johanna Brent, @quayqueens creates an inclusive community for women and LGBTQIA2S+ riders to get into skiing and snowboarding at @mtnorquay. Together, they ride, hike, climb, skate, and help people find community outside.

By hosting events and workshops, Quay Queens creates space for women and gender-diverse people to step outside their comfort zone and try hard things in an environment that feels safe and supportive.

Finally…🌸💕💐💖🍵🌺🎀

My beautifully chaotic winter (ish) 26’ season recap drop hehe. I can’t put into words how long it finally took me to put these beautiful memories together. This was such a full on season of new and old friends, challenges (emotionally and physically), experiences and memories.

I am so so so eternally grateful for every single person, mentor, friend & this community who supported, guided, taught, challenged, and lifted me up this season. Stepping out of your comfort zone is such a vulnerable state but it also allows for new growth🌿.

Cheers to another chapter and year of growth and being present in each moment !!! In the meantime follow on my summer adventures to the east coast of Canada with @roadtrekkingwithgeraldine xox

Shoutout to my favourite princesses @annawynneandrews @bad_boi_taiman. We truly couldn’t have done it without eachother. Every sweat and tear was worth it. I love y’all.

And to the Quay Queens, it was such an honour to document your beautiful community and the queens who helped create it. 🩷

Our doc made it into @ciffcalgary 🎬🤘🏽

I’m so incredibly thankful to have had the opportunity to work with @quayqueens and such an amazing team. We truly put our blood, sweat, and tears into this project, and seeing all of that hard work pay off is such an incredible feeling.

Our team may have been tiny, but it was an absolute powerhouse. I learned so much from you two throughout this entire process, and it was such an honour getting to create this with you, princesses. 🫶 @annawynneandrews @jaz.astxr

QUAY QUEENS will be screening at the Grand – Flanagan Theatre on September 29th at 8:30 PM!

Can’t wait to see our work on the big screen. 🏂🎥🤘🏽

Omg ! My short film Quay Queens: Cultivating a Community is part of the Calgary International Film Festival official selection this year !

I freaking HEART my crew @bad_boi_taiman and @jazcreate_ ! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE @quayqueens for allowing us to tag along this past season. I couldn’t have done it without you sweet angels <3
