🎶🎷…Those two days in beautiful Dresden were more than I could’ve asked for. Some things are so close that we tend to forget their value. I felt so privileged and enjoyed doing things tourists do; Stayed in a lovely 5-⭐️ hotel, with a bathroom TV (which I think is crazy?), went to see „La Boum“ on the banks of the Elbe with my sister, while we had raspberry soda which was ‚delizioso‘ as she would say. (The setting somehow just was 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺...) And found myself 𝘰𝘯 the Elbe for a steamboat trip in imperial weather (it‘s much funnier in German - if you get the joke right). A serendipitous encounter with Canadians proving it’s a small world. Brezeln and chocolate croissants. Rose Tendre and Saint Germain on my lips. A rainy window and black olives for Spaghetti alla puttanesca at the train station on the way back home. All those things and actually „only“ framed the heart of this visit.

This was my third time seeing OMD and it was the most beautiful!!! Despite my growing fear of happiness, I choose to be brave and admit that I was indeed happy. There was definitely something healing in pure anticipation, followed by dancing and singing along—even though jumping was impossible in those stiff shoes, perhaps almost shedding a happy tear and catching another blown kiss from Andy, and my headache was forgotten - it all gave way to a high that still lifts me up a bit. 💓 Even holding a ticket in my hands that said FOS for the first time meant something to me. (It was completely irrelevant tho - after all, I‘m always right up at the front lol) I regret not taking any good pictures but I will treasure the memories like it‘s the 80s - those sophisticated and romantic days in a baroque backdrop…🎠

Normally, feeling like losing touch with reality frightens me - but now I‘m thinking back on those few days, blissfully floating in la la land, hardly believing they’re already over. This years WGT felt the most natural to me since I started going. And I’m actually very proud to be able to say this because it proofs a stronger spirit. There was less anxiety and fewer worries, with the most realistic ones being struggling with my embroidery sequin jacket (including water stains) and the fact that I can never seem to pull off double-winged eyeliner. It felt more like rediscovering the taste of happiness without trying to push it away. Wether it was dancing away with @dlina_volny, who proved to be a revelation, @ductape_official, who I hold closer to my heart with every performance or seeing @kimwildeofficial, which was just surreal.

Yet the most defining and heartwarming moments this year were definitely shared when seeing @softvein_ and of course the sparkeling @nuovotestamento.band!!! 🪩Honestly, I don‘t even know what to say except that they‘re absolute sweethearts! I am constantly and genuinely touched by the warmth and kindness shown in these kind of gatherings - be it with friends (I hope I‘m not going out on a limb with this term haha) or artists. I truly cherished every encounter! A weekend like this made me realize how blind I‘ve become to things I actually require. Being around people, especially when such beautiful moments and chances arise, was such a thing.

What I‘m essentially trying to say already echoes throughout this post and perfectly anchors the memories I was lucky enough to make. Even if there’s fear or limiting beliefs and I often have to overcome my own resistance, I was able to gain a glimpse into what would be if overthinking wasn‘t always holding me back so much; while it’s lyrically tinged with wistfulness there’s this sense of hope and possibility of getting to know heaven at its fullest. Thank you @softvein_ for bringing something so profound and meaningful to life with this tune that moved me more like any other in a while! 🖤

My impressions from #coldheartedfestival in #Dresden 11/2025

WGT is almost a month gone… A reminder of how sweet life can be. Of course - I planed too much, I worried and overthought, got sick and perhaps shrunk a few centimeters, but in the end non of that mattered considering what I got in return. Those closest to me, might know how much effort it takes for me to do things my heart tells me. In my case a festival doesn‘t necessarily mean fun, but my love and passion for music and a feeling of belonging overweigh the impossible and opens doors to possiblities, happy accidents and to an expierience much different than expected. Being surrounded by so many people, meeting so many people, talking to them and seeing so many great musicians like @skelesysmusic, @selofan_official , @veljanovofficial , @night_in_athens , @drabmajesty and @camouflagemusic filled my heart. Especially Drab Majesty for whom I (almost too) spontaneously cancelled my sunday plans and went to agra. I was so nervous and happy to see them, which made me almost shed a tear. (Reminded me of my first time seeing Depeche Mode) They were fantastic! Harmonious and pure balm for the soul. I‘ve never expierenced a show which effected me in such a spiritual way, that felt almost meditative and psychedelic. And although it seemed surreal to see them perform, I hadn‘t felt that connected to myself and the outside world for a long time.

Someone I met said something that really stuck in my mind: Having too much time to think is dangerous. And in this case it showed me once again the importance of valuing what is and just simply let things happen. Sometimes reality is more beautiful than imagination, precisely because you can not plan it. And it‘s outcome, the memories, are what keeps us driven and curious. It just takes a little courage sometimes! 🖤 🐼🕸️🪩⛓️🕶️
