Welcoming AutumN 🍂 w/ a BDay Summer Reflection— 2 months since my Solar return in July. ☀️💫 🎂 :
It was amazing and expansive.

I’m grateful for MY life,
who I am
& who I choose these days.

How I process, perceive,
structure
and flow…

I tell myself to stay tuned AND stay engaged.
and it works.

I listen better now.
Believe me more.
And let more love iN…
[and Out].

Even during the times it feels uncertain…

I choose the best case scenario far more often.

and so, it is.

I really tried to take myself up outta here B4…

And here I am. 🥹

Growing uP and Out 🌳.

Doing so w/ some really amazing loved ones who I’m blessed to share connection w at that…

Gratitude 🙏🏾 💫✨🌎.

The label says “natural.” The lab report tells a different story. 🧾
Six “health” brands. Six sets of test results or lawsuits 👇
🍓 POM Wonderful — sued over PFAS “forever chemicals” in the juice🥛 Chobani — four phthalates found in its “only natural” yogurt🧈 Kerrygold — PFAS alleged in the “pure” foil wrap (recalled in NY) 🍵 Health-Ade — PFAS found in “organic” kombucha (settled) 🪥 Hello — lead + mercury in KIDS toothpaste, up to ~28× the EPA level 🍞 Wonder Bread & Sara Lee — triple-digit glyphosate in state testing Then the shampoos that got sued for hair loss — and are still on the shelf. Every one of these is an allegation, not a verdict. The companies deny it, or settled without admitting fault. Some already quietly changed their packaging. But the pattern is the pattern: sued, settled, still selling. So we stop trusting the front of the box — and we learn to read the back. Together. 🌱 DIGGING UP THE ROOTS is back for a 2nd Edition. Food Justice Mini-Conference. Location & date to be announced — follow so you don’t miss it. Which one surprised you the most? 👇

Grown, not bought. 🌱
These curly mustard greens came out of a 5-gallon bucket on my patio — Zone 8a, Hampton Roads, no farm required. Washed by hand, chopped, and ready for the pot the same afternoon.
This is what food sovereignty looks like. You don’t need land. You need a seed, some soil, and the will to dig up the roots.
What would YOU grow first?

They call it food. The Big Mac has 40+ ingredients — from McDonald’s own published list.

The bun: bleached wheat flour, high-fructose corn syrup, ammonium sulfate, calcium peroxide, azodicarbonamide (a dough agent restricted in the EU & Australia), calcium propionate. Bleached, chemically conditioned, preserved.

The “special sauce”: a seed-oil base stacked to 33 ingredients — HFCS, caramel color, sodium benzoate, propylene glycol alginate, calcium disodium EDTA.

In fairness — the beef patty really is just beef, salt & pepper. It’s everything wrapped around it that’s engineered: the bun, the sauce, the cheese.

Engineered, not grown. This is why people are so sick.

Read the label. Ask what you’re really eating. 👇#foodjustice #EngineeredNotGrown #FastFoodTruth #BigMac #McDonalds WholeFoods PlantBased
