Kenny Nguyen calls his three-dimensional mixed-media artwork “deconstructed paintings.”

He starts by tearing silk — a nod to his Vietnamese heritage and his fashion design background — into hundreds of strips, which he then cuts and dips into acrylic paint. Next, he reconstructs and layers each and every strip onto a canvas to create an entirely different visual experience.

“My work explores the concept of cultural identity, integration and displacement,” says the Vietnamese-American artist. “For me, silk has become the connector tying both cultures together.”

Follow @rockefellergroup for an upcoming behind-the-scenes look at the work Kenny created in our new corporate headquarters.

As seen in Queen City Lifestyle Magazine.

The dressing room that made the cover! 💕🐆

Seeing this dressing room on the cover of Queen City Lifestyle’s September issue is pretty special.

The vision for this space? Bold, playful, and definitely not afraid of a little drama. Or, as I told Queen City Lifestyle: “We had to do crystal, and we had to go big.”

But beyond the color, pattern and sparkle, this room was designed to be lived in, a place to get ready, pop champagne and make memories for years to come. So fun seeing this one in print. Thank you @queencitymag for the feature! #CharlotteInteriorDesigner #manningsdesign #MaximalistInteriors #interiordesign #cystorama

A beautiful home—and a very well-deserved feature. 🤍

We’re so excited to share one of Sarah Andrews’ recent projects, featured this month in Queen City Lifestyle Magazine.
This century-old Myers Park home was all about honoring what was already there while giving it a fresh perspective. Sarah worked with the homeowner to create a home that feels transitional and contemporary without losing the craftsmanship, character, and collected pieces that make an older home so special.

Throughout the project, she layered natural textures, rich materials, custom furnishings, original artwork, and a mix of old and new—including pieces brought from the homeowner’s previous home and thoughtfully reimagined for this one.

One of our favorite details? The incredible oyster shell chandelier that came with the homeowner and was creatively reworked to fit the new dining room. Proof that sometimes the best rooms aren’t about starting over—they’re about finding a new place for the things you already love.

Congratulations, Sarah, on a beautiful project and feature! ✨
