One thing about me: I’ll always tell the truth about the journey, not just post the pretty ending. A year ago, I had a vision for Legalize Your Legacy®: Beauty Edition. I could see the room, the conversations and the impact. But honestly, I kept getting in my own way. I convinced myself I needed more time, a bigger audience and the perfect plan. Eventually, I realized I couldn’t keep waiting. I had to do it now. And nervous I was. 😂 I planned a much larger event because I thought “successful” meant a big room. When things didn’t come together as I imagined, I panicked and canceled. But within 24 hours, something in me said, “You are not walking away from what you were called to create just because it looks different.” So I moved forward, and everything began to align. The right venue. The right vendors. The right support. Most importantly, the right women. Fifteen women came ready to learn, connect and be poured into. The intimacy didn’t lessen the impact; it made the conversations more honest, the connections deeper and the experience more meaningful. I believe in divine alignment. Sometimes what feels like everything falling apart is the universe clearing away the version you were forcing so the one meant for you can come together. This reminded me to trust the vision, release perfection and stop measuring impact by the size of the room. Thank you @ilumraskin for welcoming us into a beautiful space I personally vouch for. Thank you @getmixedwithjamye and @thegrazingcutie for setting the tone; @queenofassembly for your hands-on assistance; my love @james.alston.el for the beautiful photos and content; and my girls @herstoryk and @meekmilliy for capturing more special moments. To my friends who showed up and brought the vibe, and everyone who shared, liked, encouraged me or referred a woman into the room, thank you. And to the 15 women who trusted the vision: your openness and testimonials confirmed this happened exactly as it was supposed to. This wasn’t just an event. It was confirmation. And this is only the beginning. Stay tuned for the next Legalize Your Legacy® experience. ✨
