Love that we get to do this again 🎻❤️ Southside of the Tracks 2027 - Sat 9th January 2027 A one-night celebration of extraordinary songs, musicianship and collaboration. Southside Of The Tracks returns to kick off the 2027 at The Queens Hall, bringing together some of the most exciting voices in contemporary folk, roots and songwriting for a night built around the thing we love most: brilliant musicians making music together. At the heart of the show is an exceptional house band featuring John McCusker, John Blease, Ewen Vernal, Ian Carr, Kris Drever and Toby Shaer - six musicians whose collective careers span some of the most celebrated records, stages and collaborations in folk and roots music. Joining them in 2027 is a remarkable line-up of guest artists … Aimee Carty, Rachel Sermanni, Joshua Burnside and Siobhan Miller and we’re not quite finished yet … two more very special guests are still to be revealed. We’re keeping their names under wraps for now, but Southside 2027 will include the first glimpse of a brand-new musical collaboration before it heads out into the world, alongside a very special young guest representing the next generation of Scotland’s extraordinary traditional music story. More on both of those soon.

HELP SHAPE A SAFER SCOTTISH MUSIC INDUSTRY! Following the launch of the Hen Hoose Safety Certification Scheme, we're inviting people across Scotland's music industry to help shape the training through our new community questionnaire. The scheme will provide free training for venues, festivals, promoters, studios and music organisations, helping to create safer working and live music environments, particularly for women and non-binary people. Now we want to hear from YOU! Our anonymous questionnaire takes just 5–10 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help shape training around bystander intervention, equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, safety and wellbeing. You don't need to share personal details or information about specific incidents. We're interested in your experiences, perspectives and ideas about what would make Scotland's music industry safer and more inclusive. HAVE YOUR SAY — LINK IN BIO! Had a wonderful evening at @queens_hall last night watching the #worstpoetsclub , aka @donnaashworthwords , @misspunnypennie , @holliepoetry and @nikita_gill who packed another sold out venue on their national tour to share their worst reviews and show that the critics opinions are not a reason to stop sharing their powerful words or silence their voices. It was an evening of inspiration, laughter and fantastic performance poetry from four women who have multiple Sunday Times bestselling books between them, so what so the critics know anyway😉? What I also loved was that they were such great champions for each other, showing that we can all shine and not be dimmed by helping others find their spark too. Inspired me to get moving on getting my own book finished and out into the world, thank you for showing us how to stand up to the inner and external critics and keep the words flowing🙏.

Evening dusk light play. The birds were really keen to get in the shots 🐦‍⬛ Had the best evening yesterday at the @gracepetriemusic gig at the @queens_hall, got myself one of the excellent hoodies we all asked for to be added to the merch portfolio, and a tea towel!! and chatting with Grace at the end made it even more memorable. We have to keep going. Just little things make a difference ✨ #pride
