HomeComing is so much more than a dance retreat.

It’s ritual. Ceremony. Rest. Play. Nourishment. Time in nature. Dropping deeper into yourself while being held in connection with others.

You don’t need to know how to dance
You don’t need to arrive feeling ready
You only need to arrive as you are

Come dance. Come connect. Come home. 🤎

Are we actually resting, or just trying to sit still while our minds keep running the show?

this is something I ask myself quite often 🫠

Sitting on the couch doesn’t necessarily mean I’m resting. My body can be still while everything beneath the surface keeps moving. In those moments, stillness doesn’t FEEL restful and slowing down itself can feel so damn hard.

Rest takes many shapes and forms. It isn’t the absence of movement and movement isn’t the opposite of rest. Movement can be a way into rest, giving the body space to move through whatever it is holding before it can truly soften.

This is part of what we’ll explore at HomeComing. Space to move, to rest, to be nourished, to connect and to just be exactly as you are.

You don’t need to know how to dance. You only need to follow that quiet yes 🤍

Maybe one of these feels familiar… 🤍

HomeComing isn’t about arriving as the most rested, confident or embodied version of yourself

It’s a space to arrive exactly as you are.

To step away from everyday life
To be nourished
To reconnect with your body through movement
To spend time in nature
To experience genuine connection without pressure, performance or needing to be anything other than yourself.

Throughout the weekend we’ll weave together somatic dance, ritual, eco-somatic nature practices, restorative sound, beautiful plant-based meals prepared in-house by our chef @bush2buffet , time to soak in the hot tub and plenty of space to simply be.

You don’t need to arrive feeling ready.
You only need to arrive as you are.

Not every dance needs to be deep or something to work through.

sometimes we get to move, laugh and dance simply because it feels good

At HomeComing, there is room for all of it 🤍 the depth, the rest, the connection and the joy.

Creating this grief dance and soundscape brought up more in me than I expected. It feels quite raw and vulnerable to share.

at times it felt like pure chaos moving through my nervous system… so many different emotions existing alongside each other.

trying to simply allow to feel what is actually here and yet somehow that can be one of the hardest things to do.

To be with what is here without needing to make sense of it, change it or wishing it to go away can be incredibly difficult sometimes.

To accept that grief doesn’t need to look a certain way. That it doesn’t need to follow a timeline and to notice the part of us that wants to rush towards acceptance, as if we need to “get over it” as quickly as possible.

That’s what this container is for.

Not to release or fix anything but to meet whatever is here and let the body move with it.

I’ve shared the full soundscape on SoundCloud, including a journal prompt and heart practice, for anyone who feels like they need a space to be with their grief

There’s something pretty special about being in a room where nobody needs you to be anything other than yourself.

Where all parts of you are welcome.
The weird. The tender. The loud. The quiet. The overwhelmed. The completely unfiltered.

Spaces like this are where HomeComing was born 🤍

Dance has become one of the ways
I understand myself

And what an honour it is to share
this work from that space 🤍

What if the part of you you’ve been taught to suppress... is actually your greatest source of power?

For generations we’ve been taught to disconnect from our bodies.

To be quiet instead of wild
Controlled instead of expressed
Ashamed instead of alive

Because a person deeply connected to their own life force is far harder to control.

I’m no longer interested in shrinking that part of myself.

Sensuality isn’t something we earn
It’s our birthright 🤍

Thank you to every single person who steps onto the dance floor and helps weave these spaces into existence.

Community isn’t built by walls.
It’s built by the people who keep showing up for one another 🤍
