I am honored to have been listed as a “Power Player Rising” on @politicsnynews and @amnewyork 🇵🇭🇨🇳✊🏼

Two years ago, I came into the political space because of my background being a Brother of @deltaepsilonpsi , advocating and fighting for the advancement of the South Asian Identity and Community Leadership. @napahq

Being a brother of the Fraternity led me on a path to want to do so much more to disrupt the effects of Anti Asian Hate and the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Little did I know that this would be just be the beginning of a journey.

And so I volunteered for @fernandez4ny who took a chance on a 19 year old college student, gave me my first job in government and politics, taught me how to bridge and serve communities, and is my political mentor. @bronxdems

Forward 2 years and I stepped into the AAPI political and advocacy spaces, meeting with our diverse communities, learning about their histories, and how to address their needs. This led me to become more involved with @oca_ny and @naffaa.ny , key aspects of my identity that allowed me to uplift civil and civic rights for the AAPI Diaspora. I also took a job @cacfnyc to fight for and advance progressive and transformative public policy for the AAPI Diaspora.

Along the way, I met new mentors in @stevenraga and @yuhline_niou who are pioneers and transformative leaders.

As time went on, I saw a lack of solidarity and lack of young political leadership across the AAPI Diaspora and began working to build a collective and powerful AAPI Political Sphere where young voices and leadership are amplified into the political landscape. This led me to establishing the AAPI Caucus at @qcydny and now @bkyoungdems have recently established one as well. @queens_dems

And most recently, my involvement in @fuzhouamerica has helped me navigate and rekindle my identity as Fujianese and Chinese, providing me a community of people who share my story.

I want to shout out @shravan_subbu @nyc.ry @jt_saini @dopeamin @balawalqaiser and @echizen321 for keeping me grounded through my journey.

I Am Unapologetically Immigrant. Filipino. Chinese. Asian. Generation Z.

Congratulations to all the honorees at the recent @qcydny Queens County Young Democrats summer bash including 2023 Elected official of the Year Assemblymember @stevenraga AD30. Also in attendance was AM candidate @sambergerforny running in Queens, AD27, who will hopefully be elected after the special election today. Proud to support the event at @jadeeatery & Lounge

The AAPI Political Movement came out strong in support of @sambergerforny to ensure that AD27 stays Blue. It’s intergenerational, intersectional, and diasporic. We will build AAPI political power and ensure AAPI voices are heard by becoming pivotal power blocs in elevating democratic and progressive leaders into power.

ICYMI: I sat down with Associate Editor @sophiekrichevsky with the Queens Chronicle and talked about several issues. Regardless of the issue area, I see my work as promoting safety for all but particularly for my most vulnerable neighbors, and yes I believe that every New Yorker should be provided with the resources to go from surviving to thriving. And I’m organizing with legislators and groups to make it so.

Thank you, Queens Chronicle for the talk. Find the article at linktr.ee/votejgr (or my bio)

A true democracy is one that listens and engages with the voices of every individual and community. The voices of all and not the few. To challenge the current political landscape, we must first challenge and abolish the structures that perpetuate voter suppression.

This is why we outsideeeee✊🏼
